A bill to ban/monitor porn sites could pass. Then it would be expanded upon to include all manner of sites the government doesn't like. Which is what always happens.
I said it last night and I'll say it again. I am profoundly amused that there's vocal support on this site for the government to build the framework and flagship effort to begin setting up ID checkpoints on the internet. There was no reason for debanking to be used for anything short of suspected terrorism but here we are. There is no reason for a surveillance state tool use against citizens yet here we are. If something can be abused it will be abused. Often times abused in ways you could have never even thought of.

Most people here from what I've seen are against porn, but also it's easier to deal with porn on your own and prevent your kids from accessing it than giving the government more power that they don't need.
