You can record in progress but then run the risk of an immediately privated stream missing portions of the very end. Depending on your settings you could get a black screen and no audio or just be missing the last few minutes. You can also start recording a live stream from the beginning with the command "--live-from-start". You could automate all of this with a script or look at something like ytarchive or hoshinova, both of which are on Github. I'm unsure of how they work as I mostly just use yt-dlp.

You can pull the livestream chat using a --sub_lang command in yt-dlp or you can use some crafted shit like live-dl which you can find on Github. Live-dl has baked in support for pulling livestream chat but I'm not sure what it actually looks like as I've never used it. yt-dlp's chat might just be text based and output something akin to a .txt file full of chat. Check out the other projects I mentioned above, might be something you'd like to look at.

Don't know if there is a guide for all the steps included to record livestream with chat, donation features and chat ai summary like i done. I just googled all of it separately. I will try to make mini-guide for all the steps needed to record like i do later.

But in short its YT-DLP to download stream while its live with "live-from-start" feature on, otherwise it will download only from the point when you start downloading (don't forget to include ffmpeg.exe in same folder).

OBS to screen record (stream is fullscreen for maximum quality, except when needed to capture chat replay, but even in that instance i include downloaded original video file alongside chat instead of upscaled window recording) and include ai chat summary with separate window of live chat with custom CSS code to excude everything except ai chat summary.

Social Stream Ninja to integrate live chat (only while live, replay not supported) in OBS, format it, make separate donations featured.

Lossless Cut to merge separate video recordings in 1 file without encoding or reverse (needed because you cant record all stream while live, there is always a need to record beginning of the stream with chat replay or to encode stream with different video encoding settings for separate video files and then merge it).

Macro Recorder to record your mouse movement and repeat it indefinitely to show and hide youtube ai chat summary window in OBS every few minutes.

FFmpeg Batch AV Converter i use to encode h264/aac video for Odysee and av1/opus for archiving.

You need to download it while its live with "--live-from-start" feature before its privated immediately. Preferably more than 1 instance on separate drives to increase chance of getting uncorrupted file if first one fails.

Also, is anyone lurking in the Egad discord? Apparently synth is acting like a sperg in there and that will further proof synth has no self control (one of the thing I really don't like about him). Synth literally said he will never created a fan discord and probably not join a fan discord, but I guess he can't help it, being a self aware retard and all.
