Big Pharma want this because it alligns the US govt with them on trying to stop other countries having cheap drugs. US drug prices will not fall, you just wont be able to buy it cheap in canada or mexico anymore because the feds will pressure the other countries over generics.

End result, this is probably driving people into chinas arms....
Based on what actually besides "Because I said so"

How does "US to adjust drug prices" and a US executive order unfold into "YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GET THEM CHEAP ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD"
I want to see what the mental flowchart looks like that wrapped around to that.

We've got a big dick to swing around but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that hypothetical jurisdiction doesn't go that far, especially after the hacking slashing and burning and dialing back the disgusting fedboys ranks a bit.

The order as I understand it states that America will pay the same price as the lowest paying country. With that being said, for your conspiracy to be true, pharma will then have to raise every single countries prices to the moon. The issue with that is it simply cannot be done in some countries due to their governmental process involving drug costs. The only thing we can do is wait and see what happens, anything else is speculation.

Bro this literally happened here 20 years ago before healthcare became its current living nightmare

Govt declares they will pay 'market prices' > pharma companies dont want their golden goose to stop laying > pharma raises (world) 'market prices'.

Its not rocket science, everyone bitching about free rides keeps reminding us that the US owns most of the drug patents.

Then as a result of that other countries are not happy > look at options > trump sees this as an attack on his new magical number, balance of trade > starts pressuring other countries with tariffs if they look at other options > works for a while but unhappy populations for whom healthcare is not a double digit % of GDP make themselves heard > start looking around again > china all too happy to further ramp up their pharma manufacturing.

The second half remains to be seen, first half is defintely going to happen, maybe they can gift trumps library a 'palace in a pill' suppository to make sure he stays on message.

I will donate 20 dollars to the PCRF if:

US decouples from Israel
Mike Waltz is out of the government
Trump denounces Israel explicitly

This has a 2 week expiration date starting May 12th 2025

You don't give someone who betrayed you the UN ambassadorship
A whole $20, and you still attached multiple highly specific conditions to make sure you won't have to do it, you know your people's techniques well

US lowers tariffs on China to 30%, China lowers tariffs on the US to 10% as negotiations will continue for another 3 months.
Tariffs are the lest of China's sins. Could American products and services be distributed to the Chinese population without needing to go through a CCP Corp middle man first?

No, art died when Marcel Duchamp placed a urinal in a museum and very smart people said it was art and smugly looked down upon anyone telling them that they were crazy.
The very smart people said it was not art and I believe Duchamp was essentially thrown out of the exhibition and blacklisted. It wasn’t until years later that some school in Germany became infiltrated with Marxists and they started revising that these shenanigans were art.

America should nationalize healthcare already, big pharma is sponsored by mostly goverment funded research anyway.
The big colleges receive billions in US goverment funding for medical research since ww2.

The mRNA vaccine was a DARPA project tnat was given for free for pfizer to make hundreds of billions of dollars.

>Utterly bizarre psyop about Qatar being more insidious and involved in America than Israel hits social media for like a week then evaporates
>Israel publicly (outside of the T.V.) blunders two sabotage operations targeting high level American officials back to back
>America starts working with Qatar more closely than ever before to the point of receiving a serious/dangerous gift and conducting operations together in a third country

What the fuck is going on behind the scenes, I need the tell-all biography that'll come out in 30 years now.
This is an example of Trump's arrogance and God Complex actually being a good thing.

Most politicians are happy to be puppets dancing on Israel's string but Trump is the God Emperor and he does not like to be crossed or undermined.

No not even by "God's chosen people."

America already has a national healthcare system. It’s called Medicare. It also has a national hospital system: the VA.

So much for the accusations of "Zion Don." /pol/ must be having a meltdown right about now.
They will double down on it, claiming it is just a ruse to distract you from Israel's goals, or will now claim to have been skeptical of the accusations all along.

Whatever it takes to "be right".

Details about the China "deal":

Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Secures a Historic Trade Win for the United States

The White House
May 12, 2025

SECURING ANOTHER HISTORIC DEAL: Today, on the heels of the brand-new deal with the United Kingdom, President Donald J. Trump reached an agreement with China to reduce China’s tariffs and eliminate retaliation, retain a U.S. baseline tariff on China, and set a path for future discussions to open market access for American exports.
  • Today, the United States issued the first joint statement on trade in many years with China after successful negotiations over the weekend in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • Both parties affirmed the importance of the critical bilateral economic and trade relationship between both countries and the global economy.
  • For too long, unfair trade practices and America’s massive trade deficit with China have fueled the offshoring of American jobs and the decline of our manufacturing sector.
  • In reaching an agreement, the United States and China will each lower tariffs by 115% while retaining an additional 10% tariff. Other U.S. measures will remain in place.
  • Both sides will take these actions by May 14, 2025.
  • This trade deal is a win for the United States, demonstrating President Trump’s unparalleled expertise in securing deals that benefit the American people.
CHINESE ACTIONS: China will remove the retaliatory tariffs it announced since April 4, 2025, and will also suspend or remove the non-tariff countermeasures taken against the United States since April 2, 2025.
  • China will also suspend its initial 34% tariff on the United States it announced on April 4, 2025 for 90 days, but will retain a 10% tariff during the period of the pause.
AMERICAN ACTIONS: The United States will remove the additional tariffs it imposed on China on April 8 and April 9, 2025, but will retain all duties imposed on China prior to April 2, 2025, including Section 301 tariffs, Section 232 tariffs, tariffs imposed in response to the fentanyl national emergency invoked pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and Most Favored Nation tariffs.
  • The United States will suspend its 34% reciprocal tariff imposed on April 2, 2025 for 90 days, but retain a 10% tariff during the period of the pause.
  • The 10% tariff continues to set a fair baseline that encourages domestic production, strengthens our supply chains and ensures that American trade policy supports American workers first, instead of undercutting them.
  • By imposing reciprocal tariffs, President Trump is ensuring our trade policy works for the American economy, addresses our national emergency brought on by our growing and persistent trade deficit, and levels the playing field for American workers and producers.
  • Unlike previous administrations, President Trump took a tough, uncompromising stance on China to protect American interests and stop unfair trade practices.
WORKING TOWARDS A REBALANCING: When these changes come into effect, both nations agreed to establish a mechanism to continue important discussions about trade and economics.
  • The U.S. goods trade deficit with China was $295.4 billion in 2024—the largest with any trading partner.
  • Today’s agreement works toward addressing these imbalances to deliver real, lasting benefits to American workers, famers, and businesses.
  • As our nations continue these discussions, China will be represented by He Lifeng, Vice Premier of the State Council.
  • The United States will be represented by Scott Bessent, Secretary of the Treasury, and Jamieson Greer, United States Trade Representative.
ADDRESSING THE FENTANYL CRISIS: The United States and China will take aggressive actions to stem the flow of fentanyl and other precursors from China to illicit drug producers in North America.

Israel knows that things will never get better than having Trump in the White House; it will all be downhill from there starting in 2029. So they’re trying to get as much done for themselves as possible with the limited time they got. So Trump, Hegseth, et al are being treated like errand boys for Netanyahu and even if they are super best buds, that relationship will fucking chafe after a while. Looks like they found their limit with Trump, which is really interesting because they’ll never find anyone who sniffs the yarmulke harder than him. Congratulations on pissing off your last and only friend, kikes.

Lots of biopharma stock sliding now due to the executive order, on a related note.

Good, I'm looking forward to experiencing a fresh wave of boomer hate as they wail and moan that making pharmaceuticals cheaper is hurting their precious 401ks.

My God how many fucking boats and vacation homes does a person need?

Netanyahu states that Israel needs to stop accepting US aid

Speaking today before the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Netanyahu stated, “We will have to wean ourselves off American security assistance.”

He drew a comparison between the current security aid—approximately 4 billion shekels—and the civilian aid he canceled in the 1990s: “I said then that this, alongside our economic policy, will bring Israel to growth, and you will see the Tel Aviv skyline today.”
IMO it’d be better for both countries if Israel was more self reliant.

Boo I don’t want a deal with china. Fuck em.

If it comes between harming the economy or shooting yourself in the head, they'll just choose the former. Immigration (legal and illegal) has done so much damage to the UK's budget that Labour proposed cutting 1 yearly payment (winter fuel allowance) to over 65s and making it harder to apply for disability — they got hammered in the polls, so anything that'd affect the free shit will do a lot of damage.

As Labour now runs the government, what this incident shows that if they have to choose between more immigration and anything else, literally anything else at all, they will not only choose more immigration, but it won't have real electoral consequences, because so will the Tories.
