Why should we care about reddit drama over a topic that has been debunked as fake within 5 minutes of being spread here? Bankruptcy does not absolve Karl of any debt due to court judgements. These people on reddit are the lowest of lowest retards and should be ignored.

Ignore the actual thread - I'm saying that the user I named is either Karl himself or a fellow Aussie who is a fierce Karl fan. Just joking about the odds of it actually being Karl.
To be fair, I think Karl's new videos ( doom and Mario) are just boring / retreading old ground. I could not get through them.
His new drama / Billy video will probably do numbers. He might have PTSD when it comes to drama videos now and those are the ones that bring the views. Speed running is boring as hell most of the time ( unless it's exposing some cheater who acts like a retard) and he was always the dollar store version of summoning salts when it comes to actually making videos about a record being broken.

Those did not get a lot of views even before losing to Billy.
He needs to find some new content format, like exploring new speedrunning communities of recent games.
Or, god forbid, some sensible gameplay like high score runs.

It’s a good representation of who Karl is as a professional. On the outside it looks vaguely clean and organized,but look closer and you can see how wonky and distorted it is,somehow musky and superficial. Hollow yet rotten.

By far the videos Karl makes that get the most engagement are videos about cheaters. I think if he makes one about some speedrunning cheater scandal and it flops then we can truly say he's in trouble.

The thing about exposing cheaters is that you have to be considered trustworthy and a competent investigator among other things. Traits that have now come into question regarding Karl. He's not going to be able to expose anyone for a long time without someone fact checking his every word. I don't think he even dares to try making one for a good while

Actually it does for most judgments, like one based on unsecured credit, and even some kind of defamation judgments, but there appears to be an exception for serious willful defamation or when the bankruptcy was pursued specifically to dodge the judgment (not sure of the mechanics of this), much like in the U.S. intentional torts are not dischargeable.
This isn't a case like one where a journalist screwed up and got a fact wrong out of mere negligence, but a willful pattern of conduct spanning years with the defamatory claim repeated willfully even after Karl knew it was false.
The dressing down and factual findings of the judge make it look to me, at least shooting from the hip, as if this judgment is not likely to be dischargeable and Karl is well and truly fucked.
(Note: this post is partly based on AI although I did a bit of cursory fact checking on the output. So it might not be entirely accurate but I doubt it is wildly inaccurate.)

Not a lawyer and not relying off AI, but legally a tort is when you cause an entity (in Billy's case as the victim, a person) harm that doesn't rise to the standard of being a crime, but is harm. - Bankruptcy can/would probably complicate the collection of Billy's judgment against Jobst, but
- Billy can be a creditor of Jobst's estate since, to my knowledge, Billy has a signed judgment against Jobst that predates any bankruptcy filing Jobst may have made (if he has made one yet), and
- Filing bankruptcy discharging court ordered costs/judgments by default would be stupid, since it would enable people to act a lot more recklessly and just declare bankruptcy as a get out of jail free card. Part of the problem of modern YouTube is that somebody subscribed to you used to be a guarantee that they saw your content, and that's no longer the case. I gotta admit I don't watch 99% of the channels I'm subscribed to. I see their videos in my sub, I just don't watch them. I should probably clean up but I watch occasional videos from them. Of course I use the sub tab which shows all my subs I don't generally let youtube recommend me videos.
