I've heard trannies repeat that before. No citation at all, but like all tranny studies, their findings are all over the place.

Now, statistics don't apply to individuals, but when an entire population is exposed to some kind of pressure, like AIDS, it does skew characteristics of that population.


So, that said, for a long time, it took a LOT of dedication and ability to do real research to qualify for any kind of medical transgender treatment. The hoops were far harder to get through and any failure meant no hormones for you. That and combined with how expensive surgeries were, and they all had to be paid for out of pocket, well, yeah. We are still seeing this effect. Someone who isn't dedicated and smart is far less likely to transition.


And before that, it took some brains to not get caught. Like in the Conservative States of America, getting caught being trans could get you killed. If you weren't smart enough to not get caught, well, see above with AIDS.

I remember a period around the 90s when "gals" was declared sexist and bad. "It's condescending." Why? No one could explain. In retrospect, feminists went through and censored a ton of words simply for the "sin" of being specifically feminine. Ladies, gals, actress, all that kind of thing. They instilled deep self-loathing in the little girls who grew up in that environment, and now their daughters are pooning out and slicing off their boobs. Predictable in retrospect, but I doubt it's going to be cause for any self-reflection.
