Correct me if I’m wrong but AoM was on the sidewalk, public property, and Chance went out to HIM with a bat which devolved from there. Here Tard goes up to CYRAXX and enters onto their private property, this is why AoM was able to file charges for assault because Raxx was considered the aggressor. I’ll also add Raxx would have been the aggressor towards Marty because Marty was on the hats considered his property and Raxx came to him for a confrontation, it’s important to make this distinction because it’s the same scenario except Tard is Raxx and Chance would be Marty in this instance

Edit: there may be a couple of reasons why he punched the big dog, Ed:

1- Ed turned him away the first time he peregrinaged to the Wilkins residence and bigT may feel bitter and scorned

2- Ed may have started it either fiscally or verbally, with fatT or his girlfriend

3- bigt may feel envious of Ed for being so handsome and getting to tap Sally's snizz on the reg
