I second the people that brought up "yikes." I had a zoomer jeetah import drop that stinker on me in the office once and the combination of hearing redditspeak in real life from an ESL of all people produced such a visceral revulsion in me that it made me want to "unalive" myself, as they would say.
"Yikes" as a word existed long before the redditspeak shit but I know the exact fucking inflection and implication here, the fucking "holier than thou" yikes, not actually shocked yikes.

All I can say is "YIKES! HOW FUCKING HORRIFYING! GET ME OFF THIS TORRID FUCKBALL, SCOOB!!"

"Bro," but specifically when used as an adjective
"Tech bros"
"Finance bros"
" Feet bros"

No, you know what that used to be? Fags. Tech fags, footfags, etc. The derogatory nature of the term still carried a level of shame with it. It might have been fag in an endearing way, but you were still a fag. Now instead we have feet creeps unashamed of who they are, and souless bug people techies celebrating their retardation.

this has probably been said before ad nauseum but i don't care. whoever started the goyslop trend needs to have a grapefruit shoved up their ass, because now everyone and their grandma refers to everything as [noun] slop. i don't know what it is about that term but there is such a corporate tiktok zoomer feeling about it, i can't pinpoint how to describe it. it's like the vibe that the one dancing grubhub commercial gives you. we were doing just fine referring to things as ___shit, why fix what isn't broken?
"___oid" is also annoying, but at least that is mostly relegated to gender war circles.

It's not monetizable! That's basically why everything becomes warped to sanitized gross corporate feeling versions of the terms. I rambled about this earlier with how this happened to the TND copypasta of all things but also the slop thing. Goyslop was a specific type of shitty description wise but oh no, it has goy! antisemitism!?!?! by using slop in placement of shit or goyslop it becomes squeaky clean advertiser friendly (at least until the advertisers deem slop is a slur/dogwhistle or some dumb shit.)

I thought slop was to refer to the sludgey, meaningless homogeneity. Slop is the mush of scraps farmers fed to pigs (when it was small-scale home operations. Big farms don't do this). It's a bunch of inedible stuff breaking down together into one big slop. So the term goyslop is pretty fitting for some of these frankenfoods. As for media, not everything that's shit is slop, but everything that's slop is, by its very nature, shit. The movie "The Room" is not slop, just shit. Hallmark Channel Christmas movies are slop.

But as the word is overused and overapplied, this specific critique is lost and becomes part of the...the...I'm looking for a word that isn't "slop" but you get my point.

Deep dive " it's not really a deep dive if you're just reading me the fuckin Wikipedia article or even worse a bunch of Reddit posts.
Still annoyed about this. Every casual perusal or skimming the first 4 Reddit threads is now a deep dive. Or even better "@grok do a deep dive on this"

Imagine calling yourself "brown/POC" completely unironically. And most of the time, those self-proclaimed "browns/POCS" are the whitest of white! (oh sorry, i forgot the "proper" word was "white-passing", god i hate that one even more):story:
I really wish "colored people" would come back into common use. We don't say "people of Whiteness," so why should I say "people of color?" Minority does not truly refer to racial minorities. Instead, it refers to people who are not White. The term colored plainly states what it is referring to.
