The entire Next Generation cast and crew hated the little shit because he was an absolute prick on-set, protected from repercussions solely by Gene Roddenberry.
Because his entire character was Gene's self insert, "Wesley is a genius and brave and everyone loves him and he solves problems that stump the captain and and and".

Wesley crusher was the original Mary Sue.

edit:
as pointed out by people more rememberful than myself, no wesley was NOT the first may sue, I meant he was one of the first major examples of an author self insert written into a show

Couple things real quick, we are headed into a 80s level republican rule, I wouldn't be too surprised if it's even a stronger swing.
I think the swing is gonna be alot harder. The dems of the 80s didn't force faggotry, castration and genital mutilation onto your kids like they do now.

That's more of a minus really. Boats are the most efficient form of mass transit we have as humans. Plus there are no proper roads or railways for transit in Africa, and there is a huge desert in the way as well.
Fuck you got me on that one, I meant "ships" cause you are right we do need to use boats

Every one knows the Nile is the longest river in the world but you dont really appreciate it until you realize you can use it (in theory not in reality cause rapids, cataracts and waterfalls) to sail from below the horn of Ethiopia to the Mediterranean

The lake on the extreme left of the picture is Lake Victoria, the origin of the Nile, Its further south than the tip of India and even SINGAPORE, I go into this autistic level of detail because I feel the Nile gets CRIMINALLY underrepresented on maps, with proper care, work, and stewardship it could be for Africa what the Mississippi was naturally for us.

Its more a kludge to bring about marxism. Since the marxists realized after WWII they couldn't use the same tactics they used in China and Russia.
Specifically after the 70s when it became blatantly obvious Marxism doesn't work in the real world, it splintered into two groups, because if you have lifelong academics who suddenly discovered their lifelong work that promised them a paradise where the proles would have to work to feed them for free forever they aren't going to just give up and find a fucking job

They took over Post-Modernism from academia, which is your "feels" and "power" bullshit. "Umbaktu FEELS that the sun is really the god Umbaktu'tu's left ballock glowing in pain after he sat on it, and aren't his FEELINGS as valid as your FACTS, Mr. WHITE MALE Scientist?" + "If I have the power to make you not speak my speech is obviously more correct than yours." That was your "Marxism as an article of faith/religion." They FEEL it should work, so it SHOULD, and if they get POWER, it WILL, surely, this time.

The other half is the Frankfurt School, or Cultural Marxism, which the left loses their shit if you even suggest ever exists. "An antisemetic conspiracy theory." That's your "Marxism doesn't work with economics but what if we applied it to every other minority vs majority fight in the universe?" bullshit. Marxism as a magic cure all for every societal ill, even if -- especially if -- they can cause the ill to apply the marxism to.

Equality is a bit of both, but more heavily towards the Cultural Marxism thing. It's stirring up race or sex discrepancies and claiming the ONLY POSSIBLE REASON there's a discrepancy is that the majority (Satan in all forms of Marxism, until the party wins and True Communism is achieved and then oppression is a good and just thing) is oppressing the oppressed (the saintly victims, the nebulous Jesus figure of Marxism).

And using Post-Modernist word games they switch to Equity and hope you don't notice the game -- as Equity is equality of outcome not equality of opportunity. Which means it doesn't matter if you give every opportunity imaginable to blacks and women, if they don't achieve parity (or, in reality, since these are racists and sexists who hate the approved target -- white men -- they must do BETTER, especially if cushy easy high paying do nothing jobs are on the line) then something has gone wrong and must be corrected.

Cause they are basically the right wing equivalent of the faggy weed smoking hipster marxist. Execpt instead of the "Dude if we just like get rid of capitalism and greed, we could all be happy and no one would ever be exploited again." it's "Dude if we like just get rid of the government, we could all be happy and no one could ever be exploited again, cause muh free market capitalism".
Most people look at the cyberpunk hellscapes of Blade Runner, in which mega corps run the world and think that it's a bad thing, libertarians look at it and think that's heaven.

Yet the guidelines on homelessness that he announced this week do not carry enforcement power. Local leaders can ignore them and continue to pursue their own policies.
Knew it, there's no way he'd actually put teeth behind it. Admittedly decent attempt to straddle the fence.

The failure to enforce antitrust legislation allowed megacorps to control international trade, and with that, representative government itself has been on its back foot for half a century.

The result is like an economy that is fascistic in that the government frantically exerts what control it can with donations being the limiting factor, but without nationalism and run by people who would never survive the private sector.

It’s really a lot like the dystopia Ayn Rand predicted in Atlas Shrugged

There are only two options as a result; protectionism or globalism.

Thank god trump chose protectionism

I wouldn't say Libertarians are retarded, even though many are.

It's more that they are idealistic and have a distorted view of humanity. The Left tends to vilify humanity. Unless a strong hand (theirs of course) is there to guide and control mankind violence and destruction will result because humans are nothing more then the products of their environmental conditions and thus barely above animals.

Libertarians see the opposite view, if humans are just left to do their own thing they will come together naturally to do good things. If the Left's view of humanity is far too dour and pessimistic then the Libertarians are far too optimistic.

Humans are not really nice but they're also not really terrible. We can do horrible horrible things for bizarre reasons but we can also come together to create wonders and marvels as well as sacrifice ourselves for the good of others we don't even know. Wide ranging views on the whole species tend to fail due to our individualistic natures.

But honestly I'd much rather live in a Libertarian society then anything the Left thinks up.
I think Libertarians and Communists are just 2 sides of the same coin. Many people in their 20s tend to lean towards one of these ideologies or something equally idealistic and then as they grow up and experience the world they realize that communism leads to starvation and owning nothing and libertarianism leads to the Congo.

I myself was a huge Ron Paul guy and a libertarian decades ago and I get the appeal. I love the idea of personal liberty and freedom but I've since come to realize that there also need to be some guard rails in a society. I don't want to die after I grab lunch somewhere, I want my medicine to work. I want to be able to call emergency services. I'm a fan of roads. As bad as the government is at all of these things, and they sure are, There do have to be rules. Especially in our... diverse... society in America.

I don't want to speak for Null but I always cringe when I see Ralph or some bad actor attacking him for 8chan. There was a time when I would have also said "any art is art" I'm very glad we have 2025 Null and there isn't faux child porn on this website, but I also would have defended him for hosting 8chan 20 years ago, and even today I get it. People change and grow as they understand things and other people better.

When I see a 20 year old Commie or Lolberterian I don't mind, when they're pushing 40 or older, that's pretty sad though.

Schizos are freaking out as it turns out Comey posted 8647 on the 8647th day since 9/11
the idea of some guy who is sitting at his monitor and he reads a "suspiciously" large number, starts counting as sweat beads on his brow, stumbling over the numbers as he gets his answer "I KNEW IT!" he cries in half muted celebration as to not wake up mom and Jeff upstairs. Is either really funny or really sad
Bonus evidence we live in a simulation
best proof I have that we dont live in a simulation is some autistic would have figured out how to use it to mine bitcoin

I completely disagree with this take, at least from a classical economics and classical liberalism perspective. The assumption is that people are bastards, so why do you think giving them even more power over each other is going to work out?

Socialists and Libertarians believe in the fundamentally anti-Christian view that mankind is inherently good. They think there's some way that they can bring about a society that will stop people from sinning.
