Pointless to argue, I know, but nobody has an issue with you changing your name. A lot of people change their names; I have an aunt who decided to go by her middle name, an in-law who changed her name to a nickname she liked, a college friend who did the same, etc.

Usually people who change their names don't FORCE you to use their new names, of course, and they won't accuse you of genocide or try to assault you if their "deadname" gets brought up. That kind of shit is a major point of contention with basically every non-troon... but even that's just a secondary issue.

The real problem people have is with the troon religion's belief in infinite sexual malleability: that you can become "a girl" merely by willing it to happen. That in itself is crazy, and worse, accepting it leads to all sorts of predatory behavior.

If Bob wants to change his name to Leo, that's fine. If Bob wants to change his name to Kimberly, wear a miniskirt in public, and change his clothes in front of little girls, then no, fuck him, we're still going to call him Bob.
