I think it really depends on what one means by Christory being "ruined". Some people miss the meme and the legend from 2007, while others don't mind trans CPU Chris all that much and find some humor in him too.
To me, Christory is Christory, no matter what version of Chris we're talking about.

No disagreement there whatsoever. However Caden and Flutter's actions are more like the coup de grace shot to the forehead of a fatally wounded horse named Christory slowly dying as it's guts spill out on the ground after the pike the idea guys shoved into it's belly had dealt the mortal wound.

I'm not even sure if I necessarily agree with the whole standpoint of this being some sort of "end" of Christory or that any one person has their "thumb" on Chris at the moment. Frankly, this isn't even anything new in the grand scheme of things.
You have to remember that even in the Classic Era, a lot of the videos that are so well-known were leaked by trolls, and were never meant to be seen by the general public. The ones that were were because Chris had a beef with somebody, whether it be a troll or a fan. It wasn't like Chris was pumping all of these videos out on a weekly basis like it was some sort of TV series.
Following the death of Bob, people became less interested to fuck around with Chris due to the sentiments, and things were actually much, much dryer than they are right now. By then, the most Chris has ever done was post on Facebook every now and again. This has gotten to the point where things like the Catherine and Lady Managers sagas are largely forgotten by much of the CWCsphere, since they happened when there wasn't as much interest in him.
If anything, if there were a single group that had their "thumb on Chris" as people like to describe Praetor or Flutter, it'd probably be the Watchmen, who severely limited who could get into contact with Chris. During that whole period, nothing that substantial happened, and quite frankly was actually more dry than how things are now. Because there were little to no trolls to fuck with Chris, and the Watchmen were regulating Chris to make sure he didn't get into drama, all of the stuff that was actually interesting was strictly between him and the Watchmen.
As of now, I don't see either Caden or Flutter getting Chris out of drama surrounding Saberspark...

I would say that Caden definitely has Chris under his thumb and the amount of control he has over Chris is new. Caden is CWC’s landlord, manager, possible housemate, and is enabling his delusions. I would argue that he has more control over Chris than even Bob or Barb did because he can monitor Chris’s online presence.

A personal schizophrenic theory I have is that Caden could be employing some “idea guys” methods to control Chris further.
The idea guys had an insane level of control over Chris and the only reason they got caught was because they were openly bragging about it and not being subtle at all when making Chris create Nazi death camps in CWCvill.

I really think people are overestimating Chris' capacity to grow as a person in any way. A dog has a stronger conception of consequences than he does; I guarantee not more than 24 hours after release he completely forgot any discomfort from the jail stay.
He completely lacks the ability to retain and adapt from his experiences.

Maybe Caden might be regulating Chris to some degree, we shouldn't be fully ruling that out. But again, certainly not on the same level as the Watchmen, where people were doxed for even so much as talking to Chris. Naught from that same group even doxed a 13-year-old kid just for giving Chris a fucking cake.
Ignoring that, and again I'm not ruling this out, but I see no reason to believe Flutter is "controlling" anyone, let alone Chris. People seem to be saying this because they vaguely believe she MIGHT be connected to Praetor, who people also believe in controlling Chris. Feels kind of like a very flimsy version of guilt by association if you ask me. We ultimately don't know shit about Flutter's role with Praetor, if it exists at all.
