@Null, out of curiosity, how much will those new NVMes cost? Did we already reach the point where they're covered?

Also what kind of NVME. You mentioned M.2 drives, but do you have a backplane for EDSFF or U.2/U.3 drives? Some of the EDSFF or U.3 NVME will likely have better read/write endurance than M.2 as they are designed for the datacenter.
