Are you looking for any specific features for the router or what? What about a switch? How my vlans and acl's doin' homeboy? We rockin' da VPLS?

This is something that might not need to be answered here, but are you doing any network or host monitoring? Like, dedicating a segment for log aggregation, traffic inspection, etc? If not, now is the time to consider and/or improve your current posture in that regard.

If you have any questions, let me know. I'm familiar with what goes along with being a data center tenant and all that miserable shit. We gonna get our remote management capabilities up so you won't have to call this guy to use the magic finger button technique unless you gotta do the ultimate troubleshooting step. Ubiquiti is okay but the hardware is niggercattle slop that either requires a mobile application or you have to download a java webapp running on tomcat locally to configure it.

I would not use anything from them for serious infra.

But agree with the rest of your sentiment. It's nice to see folks are so invested in the site that they are willing to contribute to help out. And the bonus is it will probably make people like Ralph, Russell Greer, and various & sundry troons seethe impotently. It's a nice bonus "fuck you" to a broad array of faggots out there who seem to operate under the assumption that everyone here is a broke basement-dwelling teenage edgelord with no means to support themselves let alone donate to Null.

No real opinions on Ubiquiti, but on initial set up, you are required to set a root password for each device. Once that is done, you can use ssh for all management functions. It is much more cumbersome, but you can manage each device individually without the management server.

Don't think they will since Karmelo Anthony and Shiloh Hendrix were able to successfully raise money recently. Would not be surprised if one of the co-founders (Jacob Wells) whines about it if a lot of people begin talking about the fundraiser though.
