I first heard of "Ocean City" on 90 Day Fiance and thought it was one of the zones from Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

As a guy who visited it extremely regularly in younger days and considers it home as much as his actual one, it’s a fun little place to be. The boardwalk and shops could probably pass as a zone background, but I always thought it would really fit a fighting game stage much more - Dee Jay’s Street Fighter Alpha 3 vibes always makes me think back to those days of yore.

OC is very much still in the conservative part of Maryland away from hyper-blue Baltimore and Washington, and just as important, family-friendly. When they wouldn’t be mocked as suggested, they’d be stared at, giggled at, or kids dragged away from them and they’d get no sympathy for it because businesses and locals alike will not back them up. I suspect even fellow blue voters won’t to keep OC drama-free as it (sadly) grows ever more popular as a tourist destination.

Spent every summer 1975- on 86th ocean side. Tony and Zack would do much better in Dewey Beach.

And still, despite being able to verbalize this, none of them will take a second to question WHY that may be. In their narcissistic minds, they’re completely blameless and incapable of doing any wrong. To them, the tap was turned off one day for no discernible reason whatsoever. Apparently, it’s the remainder of society that’s at fault, not them.
