The Elder Scrolls

Guess we're never getting a mainline elder scrolls set in Elseweyr or Black Marsh.
They'd make Elsewyr lame and turn it into some empty shithole desert, plus they would neglect to show all the different types of khajiit from the moon cycles. Black Marsh well I feel like that can't be done for a multitude of reasons. Its literally mostly endless swamp, disease and monstrous creatures or clades of Argonian bandits and assassins protecting their own interests and The Hist. Nobody has managed to get to the center besides the Argonians themselves.

They need to collaborate with Fromsoft to create TES: Black Marsh. Miyazaki would fucking Randy Marsh all over the studio.

The side by side destroys bethesda as the areas and complexity adds a lot of realism to the once bland and empty areas. It looks lived in now, though I understand bethesda kept areas barren for consoles.
I doubt modern consoles would have a problem with a Cyrodiil that's more pre-Oblivion lore accurate. The problem is they would need to do more than just plop UE5 graphics over Gamebryo to do that. These console have what? Over 8 core CPUs and GPUs powerful enough to handle Crysis at 4K now? If they had more talented developers, they could make a lore accurate Valenwood with traveling tree cities with the current technology.

They have hundreds of autistic modders trying to figure that shit out for free. Maybe ask them if you need help making walking tree cities in the Creation Engine.

I am talking about when Oblivion first came out the 360 could barely run it I think Microsoft even gave Bethesda an ultimatum and demanded they have it run at 30fps. I don't remember it was a long time ago.

True. The 360 and even most computers at the time couldn't have handled that at the scale of an Elder Scrolls game. It's amazing they were able to get Skyrim running on 7th gen systems. I know one of the sacrifices they had to make for that gave us these abominations.

Why would they not take pics of the exact same location from the exact same angle for the comparisons? None of them line up so it might as well just be two random screenshots.

Either way, yes. Skyblivion looks way better than OG and much better than UE5 Scrolls.
I especially like that Peryite's realm isn't indistinguishable from the Deadlands anymore.

The peasants and beggars are part of their intelligence network and their leader is a poncy noble.
It's ridiculous that a mafia organization would have every one of "the poor" on their side. It would have been better if there were specific beggars on their side, specifically off limits. Real mafia organizations prey on poor people too.

In fact, because poor people aren't as connected, they're safer marks.

Certainly, but Oblivion tends to be goofier and larger than life compared to Morrowind. I imagine it's also a narrative device to show that the Grey Fox is actually a "good guy" with "higher ideals", cluing in to the poncy aristocrat reveal at the end of the questline.
From a meta standpoint you could argue that all the beggars are part of the guild because Beth didn't want to spend resources on neutral beggar NPCs. There is that one argonian who's iffy on the guild until he gets in trouble later down the line and decides to join up for his own protection. Though this is admittedly me extrapolating bullshit rather than knowing what's going on in Todd's head.
I don't disagree with you that Oblivion is the inferior game, but there are reasons things are the way they are.

I definitely agree, I just don't like it.

Specifically, I think those reasons are bad.

Morrowind Thieves Guild: simple, grounded, believable, in-group preference and amoral.

Oblivion Thieves Guild: nigger lectures you about how they're robin hood communists.

I do not care for Oblivion.
There is a whole extra side plot in Morrowind about the Bal Molagmer where you act exactly like one of Robin Hood's merry men under Gentleman Jim Stacey.
