He would definitely be in favor of replacing cars with horses.
I really hope that Vaush actually does let a horse fuck him and Mr Hands' himself. Moreso than that it is my most ardent hope that when that happens it is caught on tape and released publicly on the internet.

How did that bicyclists not see that car parked? Either he's blind or he's dumb. I'll believe both.
I can answer this. Most road cyclists tunnel vision extra hard on the road in front of their tire specifically looking for small holes and debris in front of their tire since their $13k carbon fibre meme bike can't withstand running over a small stick without sending them over the bars. This is compounded by the super cramped rider triangle of the bike, which is great for aerodynamics but kinda forces head to face down since your body is almost horizontal.

End result is that these retards just can't see anything more than four feet in front of them, and end up going over the bars anyways and causing extra damage to their bikes, themselves, and other people's property. This is obviously never their fault of course, because there's nothing more entitled than a fucking road biker. Even the commuters aren't this bad, and they also suck.

Aren't they all big into how the poor frontward visibility of large trucks turns them into murder machines?

Also, can someone explain to me how bikefags are so prevalent in SF? I've never been, but I know it's supposed to be hilly, and I know bikeriding fucking sucks on steep hills.
Mild weather, the hills aren't actually that bad in most of the city, and if it weren't for the fact that SF is a leftist shithole that even Star Trek predicted it would turn into by 2024 the city is historically a pretty good example where they made an effort to balance all road user needs (driving, walking, bikes, trains, etc).

What I find far more interesting that's highlighted in those graphs is transit dropped from a roughly 30% share in 2019, transit users tend to be blue collar workers and it looks like much of these people moved out en masse when the Fentpocalypse really took hold and invaded several districts in SF (not just SOMA) and all of BART (SF's big intercity train system), which followed by all of the jobs moving out too for the same reasons- why so many of them work 'From home' now. Yet you tell anyone in that city the root of their problems and they scream at you as they're being devoured.

This is orders of magnitude louder than any unmodified car at normal road speeds.

It's kind of funny the only cope they have about this is "a car would have cost more". Even when the subject has nothing to do with cars they must always bring it up. Doesn't matter if you didn't own a car, doesn't change that you're out a net $600.

This is as ridiculous as the guy who said he MADE $100k or whatever ridiculous imaginary figure he came up with not owning a hypothetical truck, but instead spending like $9k on a bicycle instead.

Now there is the mentality of being able to move on from loss whether it be a a car, bike or pet. However then there's rationalizing theft of your own property as some sort of baked in expense. Your stuff doesn't have to be expensive, but as part of being human it has to have some sort of value to you. Having the mentality of apathy will affect your perception of values where nothing really means anything to you.

The thing that gets me is they will do ANYTHING not to talk about crime in cities. The cost of the item doesn't matter. Be it a car, bike, or a purse, theft is a dangerous game. For one, rampant theft lowers trust in society and degrades the faith in the system that upholds the laws which is really bad on the long term. More importantly, theft is very easy to escalate into something more serious. The theif already disregards other people's rights and dignity by stealing their shit and they only think and care about themselves. If someone tries to stop them, things can turn very violent, very quickly.

You gotta give them credit, they have the "You will own nothing and be happy" mentality down pat.

Also note that driving didn't really change with covid. That's because every working class person drives since they live nowhere near their employer and their jobs can't be done from home.

I did a quick Google Maps comparison, just to see the difference in my case. My daily drive to my industrial manufacturing job takes 20 minutes. It would take 80 minutes by bus (well, 60 by bus and a final 20 minute walk because of course the bus doesn't stop outside the plant. Unlike my car).

By bike it would be around an hour, through some pretty miserable industrial areas.

Public transport might be less shit in the bughives, but for us who actually work with our hands (or outside the city centre) it's a crap solution

Trains going by seem louder than airplanes going overhead for landing which is made much worse by the ones here honking their horn at every at-grade crossing. It's insane how loud they are.

But even forgetting that busses are fucking stupid loud and super unpleasant to walk near. I don't much like being on a busy street on foot but a single bus can make it absolutely miserable, they belch out diesel fumes and kick up a ton of dust on top of it.

Because it’s not really about bikes/transit etc., it’s always about showing everyone how enlightened you are. Can’t be saying throw these niggers in jail, they’re preventing the bikefag revolution or you aren’t part of the omnicause anymore.

I am disgusted with the fact that there are people who are fine with getting their shit stolen rather than view it as them being victimized. This is why I'll never take them seriously
Its even more disgusting when you remember half of their personality is being "victims of car culture". But when they are actually victimized in a real, tangible way they eschew the label and immediately shift focus to bullshit claims about the fiscal damages of car ownership. I believe this is because realizing that they were a victim of a crime would undermine (or totally shatter) the fictional worldview they possess about cities and their inhabitants. I could be completely wrong here as I do not know if (non-brit) europeans use the term gasoline or petrol when speaking in English; Considering he noted the price of his bike in euros but used the word gas rather than petrol the OP may be an American (or canadian), which means he may have moved to europe because its "so much better" than the USA only to get robbed. Additionally, if the police did find the thief they'll have to come to terms that its probably going to be a social undesirable tragic victim of circumstance they give shitloads of tax money to.

fuckcars logic:
Getting robbed (an actual crime) == "its actually a good thing, the amount of total happiness in the world increased"
Having to pay attention to your surroundings and follow traffic laws (like everyone else on the road) == anotha shoah, worse than being a kulak in 1930

Still not nearly as bad as brapcyclists, in which a significant portion of motorcycles are found to produce demonic noises in excess of 100dB when revving
Bikers are the fucking worst.

Very apt:

Around where I am, one annoying trend I'm seeing are those gay three wheeled vehicles.

Some that are more like motorcycles with three wheels:

Or some more like this:

But regardless, they're loud and gay and they travel in packs.
