The Elder Scrolls

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I think this is the keyword. It's a similar thing with the Twin Lamps questline, which is substantially more difficult to access.

But yeah, Morrowind is not a perfect game. Much less in-your-face though, and my impression has been (though maybe this is a bit of cope) that there were distinct writers in charge of different questlines in the game. Namely, that while Kirkbride wrote the most fundamental lore, Rolston wrote the best questlines, and Howard wrote the retarded "rule of cool" quests like in the Gnisis Imperial Fort.

This may be an over-simplification. I still think it's important to take note of what is presented directly in the intro quest and what is optional. There's a difference between a leader in the mafia being personally invested in a Robin Hood pet project he wants you to support in parallel to the organizational interest, vs. the presented purpose of the mafia organization being that.

I'm astouned that they thought this was OK to release. Literally the HD Texture Pack Cat meme. It's like I'm looking at an early version of MGE. The Weynon Priory ground is particularly baffling.

I knew I didn't want the remaster when I saw it was in Unreal Engine. I had enough of the preloaded blurry textures in KCD.

They'd make Elsewyr lame and turn it into some empty shithole desert, plus they would neglect to show all the different types of khajiit from the moon cycles. Black Marsh well I feel like that can't be done for a multitude of reasons. Its literally mostly endless swamp, disease and monstrous creatures or clades of Argonian bandits and assassins protecting their own interests and The Hist. Nobody has managed to get to the center besides the Argonians themselves.
Did anybody (convincingly) leak where TES VI is going to be set? Seems like that should be known by now.

I think what they could do is roll two smaller provinces into one game. Such as Valenwood + Elsewyr or Hammerfell + High Rock. That would give it more variety.

No substantiated leaks that I know of, but based on the reveal trailer I think Hammerfell is almost guaranteed.

If they wanted to do a High Rock+Hammerfell Daggerfall 2 kind of thing I think that would be cool, but my expectations are tempered and if I had to bet on it I'd say Kara Boga George Floyd Sword Swinger Hammerfell Thalmor Nazi resistance is what we'll get for TES6.

I thought TES6 was confirmed to be Summerset Isles years ago? Basically as a natural follow up to Skyrim and the fuckery of the Thalmor you get to head on over to their neck of the woods and see how screwed up their society is.

All faction quests are optional so you don't have to join the thieves guild I did not mind the thieves guild in oblivion as the build up to breaking into the white gold tower and stealing an elder scroll was fun.

While there's no "concrete" evidence, it's all but confirmed to be Hammerfell.

The fact that ESO hasn't implemented much of the region, all the hints from Skyrim (Bethesda DOES hint at the next game in their previous installments), and the fact that some reddit autists have mapped the coastline all indicate Hammerfell.

Well now I know what retarded autistic argument is gonna be taking up this thread for the next month or so.
It won't, because Skyblivion ballwashers aren't actually going to properly play it, if at all. "Huge Skyblivion fan excited to play it for the first time" is more like it. They'll install it, get to Chorrol/IC, and go back to their ultramodded big tiddy kpop waifu with bayonetta movesets and 8k realistic skin. I'll soon be clocking in 130 hours in my Remastered playthrough, and I have done maybe a third of the main, i.e. faction, content.

Jesus Christ. I didn't think it was possible to type with your tears.
What, were you on the OR dev team or something? Why so bitter over a free mod you'll never play?

Genuinely kill yourself you projecting secondary. I don't give a shit about Skyblivion, I'm mildly annoyed by petty fucks like you praising it to high heavens and turning a blind eye to glaring flaws solely because it's not the remaster. Report back to me when if your precious sacred cow actually sees the light of day and you play it all the way through.

Oh fuck off with your bullshit. I have been extremely charitable to OR in this thread. Sure I discourage people from buying it, but I'm not gonna call you niggercattle just because you play and enjoy it.
You don't think I can't see what's really going on here? You're just pissy because a gaggle of faceless faggots on the internet are making fun of you for liking the remaster. And instead of taking it on the chin and moving on with your life like a big boy, you choose to slag off a free mod project that's been in works for years and people are excited to see complete. All because your fee-fees were hurt by those dang, dirty /v/fags.
Grow up, you walking vagina.

Meanwhile seeing how Willburgur broken the remaster way worse than before makes me thing about how don't giving a shit with both Skyoblivion and OR and just chilling it about in my OG game.

If nothing else at least Skyblivion will be moddable so someone can get rid of the fucking level scaling. Having to wait until level 17 to make Oblivion Gates worthwhile or just ditching levelling entirely to avoid fighting damage sponges is shit and I refuse to go back to it.

Isn't it going to act like Skyrim since it's modded Skyrim, with less level scaling problems?

The thing that annoyed me most about Oblivion (other than efficient leveling + training cap) was that the artifacts scaled and locked to your level, so you had to complete quests at level 25+ to get the best versions.
