TAX FREE OVERTIME WHEN?

OH AND ITS ONLY FOR CITIZENS. NOT H1B OR TEMPORARY ILLEGALS
I'm confused, I'm seeing it's not happening but also that it just passed the senate? It's not one of my issues really but I hope he gets it through. Glad about Golden Dome and hope he'll talk more about Artemis soon since that's another of his science babies and it really seems to be struggling.

ETA Oh duh, can't read.. Tips not overtime. Hopefully SS, Tips, and Overtime all go through.

ETA2 and the emotional leftists on DU are really starting to whine again. They really needed a quick economic collapse and are starting to realize it's probably going to be a soft landing at worse now.

I've just been considering something weird. The current most likely Republican candidate after Trump is Vance. Now a lot can happen in 4 years, and he may or may not win, but consider this: The office of the President may completely skip over Gen X.

Good. We need a leader for the 21st century. Gen X had its chance. Get fucked.

Gen X, ignored yet again?
Whatever, not like they care. #disaffected

Gen X really is kind of a lost and forgotten generation. There weren't as many of them as others. The best you can say is they grew up during Reagan and aren't as shitlibby as their parents or millennials in general. The good news is Trump almost has to be the last boomer president no matter what unless we really get screwed in 2028.

Pretty much the only Gen X'er that's made much of a societal impact is Elon, weird to think of that too. And I guess Jeff Bezos.

May happen. It will be like never having a president who served in Vietnam or was born in the 1950s which is more and more of a possibility every year.

Thank God.

Millenials are either coastal theater kids or blackshirt chuds but at least they're not mopey losers.

The office of the President may completely skip over Gen X.
Now that the boomers are finally getting out of the picture there will be plenty of Gen Xers coming out and trying to throw their weight around (Gavin Newsom comes to mind). But unlike the Boomers who had clear seniority (in every sense) over Gen X, Gen X will need to directly compete against not only Millenials, but also Zoomers who are both more politically active then Gen X.

George W was not smeared by the media nearly as much as Trump was, it's not even a comparison.
They straight-up fabricated National Guard memos and ran a 60 minute special on them to try to flip the election to Kerry. This was after four straight years of calling him Hitler and Code Pink bleeding out the wherever all over the Capitol.

Oh yeah the Golden Dome ABM missile shield deal got signed. Deployment will be done before end of term.
I hope the Golden Dome also contains plenty of those anti-drone directed energy weapons that I've started hearing about lately.
You can't shoot those down with a missile, but they can be just as big a threat.

The Saudis love Trump as one of their own. He is the prince's friend. Truly. Honestly good for stability in the ME. I listened to his speech twice today. I hope that the countries there grow with us, but nor under us. As friends, not master and slave.
I remember wayback Somebody Twitter posted that he warned off the guy who was supposed to get wacked at the las Vegas shooting. Completely alleged but man wouldn't that be something. If that's true they may have discreetly eliminated the actual shooters. Food for thought

@mlanguishi Lees chances of winning the war were not great but I will say there were two turning points that screwed him.

Number 1 was stonewall Jacksons death. That essentially lead to the defeat of Gettysburg because his troops were not used to Lee's leadership. Its been said one of General Lees biggest blunders was adding "If Practical" to his command to take the high ground. That's true, but the reality is he actually used this same phrase in an earlier campaign with his own troops to no error. Stonewalls men where not used to flexible orders. They needed firm and concrete direction. If stonewall had been there, there's a good chance the Confederates could have won.

Secondly, Lee should have sent his forces to lift the siege of Vicksburg instead of invading the North. It was a completely viable option that was suggesting by one cabinet member when Lee and Jefferson Davis were planning their next course of action at Richmond. Lifting the siege would have saved a large number of troops, prevented a significant loss of a major city/commercial hub and MOST importantly it might taken general Grant out of the war. He was in charge of the siege and if Lee moved against him, he wouldn't be in a good position to defend against an attack. Its my opinion that if you take out grant at this point, you have a significantly higher chance of winning or at least prolonging the war. (I can elaborate later but he was that crucial to Union victory.) Fortunately or unfortunately nobody listened to the one guy who suggested it, even when he insisted it was the only real option and demanded a 2nd vote on the matter. They trusted Joe Johnson to not sit on his ass and take his time getting to Vicksburg. The rest is history.

Charles Krauthammer is a fun conversation grenade. Beyond that, his retelling of how he broke his spine diving into a swimming pool and laying at the bottom, unable to move is really interesting stuff.
Ah now that brings back memories. He was a really good analyst and his death hit me as hard as Rush Limbaughs did. Very thoughtful and interesting man. A sort of political Christopher Reeves.

This is 100% unedited footage of the anti-Trump protest in the city of Asheville, NC over the weekend.

What immediately jumps out at you about the protestors?
