The video of the officer telling him to speak english in America was fucking kino. Cyclists are subhuman.
It's kinda infuriating that their were people outraged at the comment... outraged in English.

Thankfully, Trump has taken away one of their idiotic "But Actually" points by designating English as the countries official language.

Still, it's idiotic to argue otherwise as they would never support a school that doesn't offer English education of any kind.

On a kinda related tangent... the DOT requirements that all truckers be able to speak English or they'll be parked has likewise sparked outrage from a lot of people who don't hold CDLs.

And furthermore? Have spent decades looking down upon holders of same, openly hoping they get replaced by migrants if not automated robo-trucks.

Expecting the group you pissed off to join you in gleefully debasing it's own profession is........ wishful thinking, at the most polite.

"YOU NEED TO HELP THESE PEOPLE!" Says Karen

"Sure, I'll help em' out of the country" Says I

The "REEEE!" is predictible, but at least a little funny. Because Karen would NEVER try to block an 18 wheeler barreling at her with her precious SUV in protest like she would the local cops with an ICE warrant....

Ironically, a lot of them are likely homeless people. They drive up the stats of "pedestrian hit by car" too.
Very accurate. My closest call driving was a homeless-looking black guy wandering across a six-lane urban road in the middle of the night, dressed in dark clothing. I changed lanes with maybe a second or two to spare.

My second-closest call was a retard cyclist running a red light in a non-standard intersection with three intersecting roads. The dumbass saw two roads stopped, thought he could go, and almost got turned into a pancake.

In either case if I had hit the person, these retarded urbanists would be chimping out over another act of vehicular brutality, when it was 100% caused by the other party's actions.

It's actually incredible how low the bar was actually set, and the fact that people are offended is sort of staggering if you really think about it. The idea of getting offended by a rule that someone should be able to read, write and speak the same language that all the road signs are written in and police speak is insane.

They always like to pick and choose ideas or things that other countries in Europe or Asia do like complain about public transport or gun laws. However will glance over shit like the above: Should we expect people driving heavy vehicles to be literate? Is needing an ID to vote in elections a requirement? Should stealing under a certain limit of items not be be prosecuted? Should we arrest crazy homeless people openly doing drugs on the subway? Asking any Europeans or Japanese if any of these things are okay would get laughed at. Leftists will complain about how other countries do things according to common sense, until any of the other aforementioned shit gets brought up and then they want to turn a blind eye to it because of how embarrassing it actually is that they have to defend this type of shit.

You know what, I am on this guy's side. New York has been half assing traffic enforcement for a long time and ever since they passed their no chase policy it has gotten worse. Not to mention the rise of street takeovers and driving recklessly for clout on social media.

Brandon Buckingham recently released a video on these drivers in New York and the cops don't really do much.

It's pretty obvious why they don't do anything:

I remember reading a discussion about how this regulation wasn't needed as truck drivers could just deduce the information from pictographic road signs.

Not addressing the retarded nature of the idea but I think it's awfully culturally insensitive:

Its clear progressives have no clear moral backing as we they will adopt what idea suits them like a teenage girl and fashion.

Its also why I don't trust them.

I feel like the video immediately undermines its premise with the Jolly Rodger thing. He opens the video talking about how the Jolly Rodger was a feared symbol then got degraded to just a funny symbol for pirate costumes then immediately flashes to a German minefield using skull and crossbones warning without addressing it. If a farm boy from Kansas fighting in Europe came across that and only knew the symbol in the context for pirates, his first thought when seeing that wouldn't be "Oh boy, pirate treasure" He would look at the context clues of the skulls, barbed wire, and thr fact they are in a war zone and think "something in there might kill me." Not to mention them fussing over society's ability to remember symbols while acting like the meaning of the Jolly Rodger = pirate is immortal is also kind of dumb. Skulls and the skull and crossbones existed across different cultures and they rarely mean anything good. Even military units that adopt it do so as a way of displaying a warning to their enemies that they will kill them. If you drop two barrels onto the sentinel islands one with the biohazard symbol and one with a skull and crossbones they might be hesitate to open the latter due to them understanding that skulls have some relation to death.

Anyway to tie things back to transportation, road signs have even less careful thought put in and even native speakers need to at least skim though them before hand to understand some of their meanings.

Your a hindi driver and you see this up ahead, what do you do?

We've already bent over backwards making 99% of all signs pictographs.... some of which are even more confusing now than when they were just plain words.

Some of the worst are also supposed to be for the biggest issues, but instead of being concise? They're now full on rebuses of stacked silhouettes that are supposed to indicate the hazard....... that you have about 5 seconds to interpret if you pass them at road speed..... and still may not get it right. For example - this one coming up right here: Let's see: I have a picture of a bus.... a red starry-thing glommed onto the bus .... 2 hunched over people running... an arrow pointing to the bus above them? Can you instantly tell what that means if I don't tell you (or you don't remember) that sign used to say "SCHOOL BUS STOPS AHEAD" ? Had to change it because not everyone reads English, sweaty! Feelings over safety, ya know!

To say nothing of certain road hazards you can't really turn into a pictogram that makes even half as much sense as that one?

Like "Hidden Driveway" or "Cross Traffic From Left Turns" or "Opposing Traffic Has Extended Green" or "Bridge Ices Before Road Surface"?

Any adult who sees a skull and crossbones label and doesn't immediately think, "hey that's probably toxic" is likely an evolutionary dead end.
Hell man when I was five my parents taught me that shit. Didn't want to risk me drinking the juice under the kitchen sink.
