Lol what is the market gonna do today?

Like any speculative market, the stock market will shit itself whenever anything happens that reduces inflation or government spending. It’s all based on “investment confidence” and sentiments at the time. I wouldn’t care too much about how investors feel about this, as they are not part of the consumer/manufacturing economy.

This bill is a huge win for average Americans and small businesses. It will be exciting to see more tax cuts and financial reforms in the future. I hope that Congress will continue to deregulate businesses and cut corporate taxes to encourage the establishment of small businesses across the nation, despite the fact that they are lobbied by giant corporations that want more regulations and financial burdens to strangle competition.

Though this may never happen, I want lobbying to be made illegal. Politicians, regardless of political affiliation, still want their legal bribes. However, the abolishment of this practice will make Congressmen more accountable to their constituents, rather than to their corporate friends.

Great, this is just what we need right now. :(
Late to this but the sculptor is Bri'ish. And he has a habit of this kind of thing.

Of course it's the British.
There was an incident this morning where security guards at the CIA shot someone:

Any chance it's related to the two Jews getting shot?

I miss the days where Presidents of either party could be spoofed, satirized, or poked fun at without it devolving into partisan hate
So you miss the days when the establishment was at its full strength?

Realize the reason why that existed was because the presidents 'of either party' were sponsored and controlled by the same interests, and effectively were of the same party.

Trump's being folded into that though. Just ask Bongino and Patel who killed Epstein, for instance.

It's all so tiresome. And we'll be back to 'those days' soon after Trump's out of office.

Yet Isreal has never formerly acknowledged the Armenian genocide, and no the two city councils who voted to recognize don't count.
"Israel didn't recognize it other than the two times they recognized it"

Israel as a state doesn't recognize it because of politics but the average Jew recognizes it as a genocide. The post I responded to had the retarded idea that Jews want to monopolize genocide when that isn't the case.

Retief Goosen: "My dad was a property developer as well as a part-time farmer. And yeah, some of his buddy farmers got killed... it's a constant battle with — they're trying to burn the farms down to chase you away."

For those unaware who this man is, Goosen is a very successful golfer from South Africa.
I hope this man immediately asked the Trump admin for political asylum for him and his family. The courage it takes to come with the South African president as a political pawn only to support Trump's view that white South Africans are being discriminated and killed.

That $500 child tax credit add on is about as useful as a wet fart for anything resembling encouraging more kids.
Exactly. It's only useful to poor people who already get tons of gibs anyway. Either subsidize daycare, create a new federal daycare corps (lol), or make it so one parent can support a whole family again.

For all the dumb shit she says in general, and even though her ultimate prescription is nonsense, Elizabeth Warren's analysis of economic conditions and its effects on households in The Two-Income Trap is dead on. That book also obsesses with women, ignores that men can be domestic as well, and dismisses the idea that it's maybe a good idea for a family unit to have someone available to take care of domestic problems (e.g. a child is sick and needs a parent to care for him or her); but Warren is still right that economic conditions trick middle-class households into thinking having two incomes will fix things, but it won't.

Raise wages, fix inflation, and stop telling parents to basically enslave themselves to banks by sending their kids to colleges which no longer translate to more income.

Weirdly the way this is structured actually only gives a boon to middle class (and above) parents.

It makes less of the tax credit refundable, so if your tax liability is pretty low, you can't really derive any benefit from it.

For the people rich enough to actually get the full credit, it's not that meaningful a boon. It's clearly just so the GOP can say "oh we increased the child tax credit" without actually dirtying their hands by taking any real action.
