I reiterate my prior motion for Hardin to request ALL of those years' worth of emails between Russell and the good people of Winnemucca's government. Especially now that he's finally seeking that statutory dismissal on the grounds that Dipshitforlips lied through his teeth about being poor from day one. Poor, poor Greer, who was also pestering a small town to let him whore the place up for years.
I would ask to put a stop on that front for some time. The records lady was threatened by Greer. Don't overwhelm her.

Keep in mind he had just been verbally bitch slapped by the Judge repeatedly. During which he zoned out. And here mere minutes later he's once again zoning out as the City politely and formally tells him to fuck off.
Anytime anyone tells him no in person, he tunes them out. He admitted as such in his own book. I wasn’t joking when I referred to that as the Charlie Brown teacher trombone, that’s what all of these authority figures sound like to him as soon as they don’t conform to his little script, even if they are trying to give him good advice while rejecting his current proposal.

I do agree that she doesn't deserve this bullshit. She should get an Edible Arrangement AND some nice flowers, and a week off work to go skiing in Tahoe or something. I hope she has the support of her employers (and a lawyer) in dealing with Greer -- I would actually hope she herself files a police report on him for threatening her, but that'd be her own decision.

I still think at some point Hardin ought to request those older emails just in case it'll be necessary to have more proof that he was trying to buy property in 2020. Maybe not now, but at least when the motion to dismiss gets closer to being handled.

From my read of the transcript, the Magistrate Judge intends to resolve Rule 11 issue first, so there's time remaining

Interesting to see a vid of him actually interacting in the real world.
The way he carries himself, I half expected to see a "KICK ME" sign taped to the back of his sport coat.
Well, it might have helped if he'd come in prepared, had a spiel, made his case - however nonsensical and weak it might be.

I mean - the councilmembers said he's been persistently after them for YEARS about this. So he finally - FINALLY - gets his shot. And it's mom's spaghettios (not even spaghetti): he sent ahead a godawful 1980s presentation with no data, plan or support, which he didn't even go through or reference in the meeting. His opener was about how his original pitch was already OBE because the building "fell through," so here's a new idea I just had, followed immediately by almost derisively referencing his "business partner" who "didn't show up.". I know it's Russ, but his lack of even the attempt to try to seem like a professional or someone who can...do anything is still astounding. How does he not, by this time, for the thing he wants most in the world, have a perfect, 8000x-practiced, short, medium and long set of pitches, a wealth of special data about the place he's trying to corrupt infiltrate develop, some plausible hook that might at least be entertaining?

All he did was play "aw, shucks, hey, just wonderin', haven't really done anything about it or raised money or anything, but just curious whether you'd like to change your long-established rules that you like and no one wants to change, for, like, no reason? I'm just puttin' it out there, you know, just in case.". He didn't even talk about the miners (:story:)!

Then he tucked tail and fled out of there.

Meanwhile, 30 seconds later and back in the soft bosom of his keyboard iPhone, he's screaming at clerks and flinging legal threats in all directions.

Plenty of time, for sure. I'm actually expecting him to sit on that sanctions motion for now. Hardin is filing another one in a few weeks, which the judge knows. And Hardin has until June 30th to file his reply on the opposition to the motion to dismiss. The magistrate seems to prefer letting all the clocks run out. But as always, a lot more can happen between now and then, sigh.

Because I was curious, I checked all Winnemucca City Council minutes back to February 2019 looking for 'brothel' 'adult entertainment' or 'greer' and didn't find any. Some files may have been missed but it doesn't appear he has appeared before this meeting.

They did mention that all prior correspondence with him was by email, no?

E: Nevermind, that was with the Scott Shady Court Motel. The Council doesn't mention that, besides him being "very persistent".

It's in the record, so I think Mr. Hardin might attempt to use it.

I don't think it is in the record, though we have it here from when Null posted the zip of the emails. The threatening email was sent on the morning of Monday the 19th:
1747944710316.webp

I'm not seeing this one in Hardin's filings, am I blind?

He firmly believed it was that important that he appear in person and convince them.
It is such an odd combination of Boomer and child mentality. For the former, it’s like when Boomers talk about showing up to a business in person and asking if they have a job available (really shows you mean it and they’ll love the initiative!)

For the latter, he thinks that just by speaking nicely and politely that he will get what he wants. That’s something a small child does when they want ice cream with sprinkles on top. And it’s not just once he’s tried this tactic (followed up by a temper tantrum). You’d think he’d learn, but no, he’s retarded.

I've said this in the main Russ thread, but he latched on to a bunch of the ideals his adoptive parents taught him as a child and has never rethought any of them despite all evidence. Wearing the suit shows respect. Speaking politely will get rewarded. Etc. He follows these in the adult world without question, no matter how awkward the situation. Hence the suit to a brothel or a pop concert to woo some starlet. Then when it doesn't work in the adult world he throws a tantrum (through email or a lawsuit because he knows he'd get his ass kicked in real life).

He's got the emotional range of a 4 year old.
