Nick is a fool for going public with this nanny story.
Why?
Because now CPS, the police, and possibly the probation department might be investigating the allegations to ensure 1. the kids are safe and 2. Rekieta is not harassing or retaliating against a witness or violating his probation conditions.
Allegations are true:
If Rekieta's allegations are true, then why didn't he raise this in his CPS case? Why didn't he file a police report (either then or now)?
It makes Rekieta appear like he looked the other way during the nanny's alleged child endangerment, which if true, might have been a crime. Even now, he might be required to report this to CPS or probation as soon as his kids told him of what happened. Not reporting this makes the story have no credibility, but it also makes him look like he covered this up, and risks a violation or another CPS investigation into the nanny's alleged actions and Nick's failure to act.
Allegations are false:
If Rekieta's allegations are false, then he's literally making a false allegation of a crime against someone that was a potential prosecution witness in his criminal case. It is also defamation per se and potentially destroys her ability to find a job.
It makes Rekieta appear as even more of a broke dick snake, and his probation officer, the police, or the court might take interest that he's retaliating against someone involved in his criminal case and formerly his children's care.
Even if CPS, the police and probation are disinterested and don't take any action, he still looks terrible publicly and risks a defamation claim from the nanny. And even if the nanny doesn't have an appetite for a lawsuit, she can get payback on the cheap by disclosing all of the insane true behavior she saw that caused her to quit.
There is literally no win condition here for Rekieta.
The best he can hope for is that nothing "legal" comes from this latest stupidity, as his reputation takes another severe hit. Either way he is known as a snake to the ends of the earth.
