My guess is that Druckmann was confident that few would pick that option only for reality to fail to meet his expectations and bruise his ego in a way that never fully recovered
Just like how you were meant to think Joel was a heccin monsterino for killing The Fireflies to save his daughter. Druckmann really does just want to make movies because letting goys draw their own conclusions about anything evidently really pisses him off.
mostly criticizing the game for featuring a black female protagonist.
This is probably the result of them using AI to write articles now.

Druckmann sees himself as great writer. It has nothing to do with being Jewish. He is just an idiot who does not know he is an idiot. He confuses having ideas with having good ideas. Think of him as some loser wishing he were king of the world to a genie only to be executed five years into his reign because of mismanagement and overall incompetence. Turns out, the job is harder than it looks.

It has everything to do with him being Jewish - the heady mix of degeneracy, neuroticisms, superiority complex and arrogance can only be found among one of the Chosen. Cuckmann might as well be Levine's long lost twin brother.
Oh please, those traits are shared by most furry webcomic artists with above average drawing skills. Are all of those guys Jews too?

Is this supposed to be black? I guess the one drop rule is still in effect in the US. Except it's used for an entirely different reason.
Here's what your vidya slop protagonist would look like if they were black or Chinese.

While I agree that him thinking he's a god tier writer isn't necessarily because of his Jewish ancestry, the fact he is ends up acting like a force multiplier. TLOU2's entire story shows this in how the core elements are all shit, but then it also goes completely out of its way to make references to shit like the Holocaust (which the character talking about it is too young to know about it in a post-apocalypse world where education on such things wouldn't matter for the past 20 years) in a synagogue (which despite the devs claiming the city was modeled down to individual buildings in real life, does not actually exist on the plot of land in real life), and IIRC you see a guard tower at one point which looks identical to the ones around the real life Gaza strip.

The funny thing is that he may not entirely be consciously doing this. After all, when the game came out was when the big pro-LBGT shit was in full swing with rainbows, hand in hand with all the Free Palestine stuff, so you have a lot of 'oppressed minority groups' coming together in the target audience that Druckman wanted to appeal to by shoving into his game...in a setting where literally none of it is relevant in any way, shape, or form.

The series really feels like it's forgotten that normal society stopped in 2003.

The world should be completely different culturally than how the real world turned out, and yet fag shit and rainbow murals are plastered around as if the apocalypse happened 3 years ago.

That is my point. He likes being a Jew but being a Jew is not the source of his arrogance. He would be arrogant no matter what. Even if he were another race or religion, he would proclaim that to be the best and it would reflect on his writing.

Which makes TLOU2 the perfect case study for how 'social activism' carelessly shoves their agenda into IP without caring if the properties in question are really the best place for it.

After all, was ANY of this pro-LBGT or bringing up targeted discrimination of an entire ethnicity and culture anywhere in the original TLOU? No, it was a survival game about zombies and a man learning to become a father again. But ever since TLOU2 came out...even though the game is still largely a zombie survival game, there's a reason why you could easily forget that zombies were even in this game for how much they don't matter to the active plot.

I think that's actually an intentional bit of propaganda itself. Culture wasn't different twenty years ago, dude, it was always gay and Jewish! Look, trans identity is real because a little Asian girl in a fundamental religious cult in the post apocalypse completely cut off from all forms of modern propaganda really wants to be a boy! It

Look! Using Lev's preferred pronouns is so important that Abby will even do it when they're both being violently beaten

In total fairness, the zombies weren't really that important in TLOU1 either. It's one of those Humans are the real monsters narrative. They're a plot device and for action set pieces.

Not that it's super important, but I want to clear up that it's the other way around. Lev is a boy who "identifies" as a girl and wants to be called Lily. Only sometimes, though. The character is voiced by a real life troon.
