The reason why the fish didn't participate in most of the challenges in s3 is because they realized very quickly that the challenges didn't matter of affect anything. The viewers will always rig every challenge outcome so the simp favorite would win every challenge no matter what and Jet would allow it and eliminations are decided by a vote from the other fish and had nothing to do with the challenges. It doesn't take long to catch on to this, Binx, Burt, and Mizzy all talked about this after s3 ended. If anything it's Jet's fault for allowing the fans to ruin the show which seems to be the sum of all the problems with Fishtank.

In this show the production team have to balance between a fair game and the wishes of the audience (who are customers after all). It is a hard task, but it's going to be a lot harder when your audience is mostly comprised of retards with no awareness of consequences in the long run. You can dogpile someone, but if it's going on for too long or if it's too extreme, every person will either tap out or get criminally violent.

Very true. Autists like Jimmy don't understand the futility of trying hard to win the challenges and fan contestants don't care, they'll do them anyway. Normies pick up on the obvious lack of incentive way faster.
I like the idea of normal people on the show but the competition aspect absolutely has to be taken seriously if that's the route they take, which is preferable. It's a decent gaslight to make it seem futile for brief periods of time, but I think it's too demoralizing and they should stop leaning on it.

What was terrible about Season 2 was when challenges with incentives and real rewards/threats got nullified. TJ was going to be eliminated twice only to get saved every time. Chips stolen and can't pay the rent? Nevermind no elimination give him his chips back. Tay wipes his C(hris)P(oints)? It's ok because Fatty can just give him more in exchange for some of his earnings. Don't bother giving out challenges that offer the contestants the ability to eliminate someone if you're not going to carry it out if you don't like the outcome. And also, on season 3 they fucked it up by going to the other end of the spectrum and making the eliminations vote-based and leaving people unable to start shit at risk of getting voted out.

Absolutely, there's lots of revisionism going around about s2 being a competitive masterpiece when it wasn't. The wiggers ruined the challenges all the fucking time in s2 and they ended up being extremely empty. People forget about that stuff a lot. I remember being so fucking pissed when TJ was saved from definite elimination not once, but twice. Fucking bullshit. It's not even a "reality game show" at that point.

Competitively, s1 was actually way more tight. For the most part if you lost whatever challenge was going on, you actually would be eliminated. Even if you were the content King like Jon. Granted they did rig Josie's immunity into the finals but still most challenges and their consequences were followed through on.

People can shit on Tay for the stuff she did, but she was one of the best contestants the show has had when it came to actually competing and it's just disgraceful how they fucked her over for performing well. Not only did they negate the elimination attempt I mentioned, but they also took $4k from her winnings which I mentioned previously. It's a gay show.

It's not about whether they cast fans or normies, it's about the quality of the contestants which has nothing to do with whether they're a fan or a normie. There were shit fan contestants and shit normie contestants, just as there were good ones. Alex is one of the best fish of all time and he wasn't a fan. Burt has become very divisive after the season ended but there's no denying he drove content. Tayleigh was one of the best contestants ever when she forgot to be cringe. Jimmy was a lightning rod but he did produce a lot of memorable content.

Obviously you'll never really know how someone is going to perform until you get them in the tank but it's absolutely possible to screen out a large portion of nontent ahead of time, and combine that with running the show properly (yeah, right) you can easily produce a strong season. Unfortunately, the wiggers never learn and when they do it's all the wrong lessons. I guarantee you they're just thinking "we need 8 Burts next season so we don't have to do anything again."

True enlightenment is realising even "duds" like Mauro and Ian bring something to the table.
Morgue posting was funny. Ian being a lazy PoS bum was also funny. I don't know if there will ever be a contestant reaching Ian level of nontent ever again.

Look at this.

Something almost happened and he masterfully avoids it.

I think Garage posting was fun in season 1 too, there is a lot of the show outside of it in all the viewers squeezing blood from the stone.

Ian was peak nontent. I didn't even realize a content black hole could be so hilarious until Ian showed up. Him just sitting on the couch or eating while all hell breaks loose. It really did peak with him getting mad at jobe over the N WORD!!! "Nah.. nah.. dude nah.. noo you cant say that man naah." "Nigger" "Naaaah.. naaaaah man.... maaan.. dude"

Not a Tay fan at all and I'll fully admit she was one of the best contestants and deserved far better then she got at the end of season 2. The amount of torment she endured without cracking or leaving was almost on par with what Letty went through. In a season where half the cast left in the first two weeks the ability to stick through it is huge and I respect her for it.
Burt has become very divisive after the season ended but there's no denying he drove content.
We all collectively have Burt fatigue. The gay sex shit is just tiring at this point and I would be happy just taking like a year break from hearing from him or seeing him in anything Fishtank related.

But what about Megan from S2? I've only watched the edit but barely anything she did was memorable. At least Ian got pissed when Jobe kept saying "nigga".

You mean from S2? She was such a disappointment. She was clearly nuts and after peeing in a cup and leaving it in the bathroom to fuck with everyone on like day 2 I was hoping she would blossom but she did a nosedive from there. She could have been like a female Jobe, chilling and lazily fucking with people but she was an absolute black hole.

I do still love this interview she had with the judge even though it gave me false hope (:_(

She was such nontent that I even forgot which season she was on. *sigh*

The way you talk about her though, she sounds like she was Payton before Payton. Tons of potential that never materialized.

This is honestly probably the most underrated moment in Fishtank history from probably the most underrated fish in the show's history and another example of s3's greatness. You can't write that shit. Ian went full circle, it was the absolute perfect ending for him. The unfazed King's one weakness being the dreaded nigger word.

Another reason why I think the wiggers should have waited until after s4 to do Bloodgames 2.
