Oh no! Louis deleted his Twitter account! What's the reason this time?

Lou is an idiot. He can't manage his own life, it's not just that he won't try. When his mom dies he will either miraculously learn how to swim or, much more likely, sink. He's a lazy asshole too of course.

Lou has a stupid face. Not just "ugly and weird", but specifically "stupid". You look at his face, and you instantly know that he's an idiot. I think it's the way his missing teeth give him a slack jaw, and the vacant look in his eyes. Some idiots hide their stupidity behind their faces and you have to talk to them to realise that their elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor. But you only have to look at those thumbnails to see that Lou's wheel may be turning, but the hamster is dead.

And woe is Lou. He doesn't have anything to do! And he has no money! If only there was some way of solving both problems at the same time! Alas, such a thing surely cannot exist, and he must console himself with Titty Tiger porn and threatening to kill strangers on Disqus.

For real though, what is Lou going to do when Denise and Coach pass away? Is he hoping they all just die at the same time? If he can't qualify for disability I doubt he'd be able to get a spot in a group home. He might end up homeless, but I doubt it. Could he survive on section 8 + survivor's benefit maybe? Or will he be so crippled by diabetes by then that he'll qualify for a Medicaid-covered spot in a nursing home?

Every time I see this smug asswipe's fat face, all I can see is:

And then hear Pam from The Office saying "They're the same picture. They're the same picture."

This is what I wonder about a lot of NEETcows, like Secret Gamer Gnome and our Lou's female mirror, the Womb Wizard.

They understand the passage of time enough to put tendies in the microwave, but they either have no idea that their parents can die, or they're repressing it hard and that's part of their general level of carb-clotted unease.

Heavy speculation: losing a foot/leg is what's going to get him out of the Haus Made of Stairs, if it happens before his mom dies. "Group home" is a meme, and Lou's too much of an asshole for an adult foster home (although there's a slim chance, if he stays continent; he does just like to sit in one place and Internet).

If Lou loses a foot surgically and admits to PT how much he falls already, there'll be a conversation about whether he can have a bed on the ground floor at home. If Lou cooperates with inpatient PT and doesn't have any hissy fits (weird how he knows not to threaten suicide to medical staff, only Twitter) he could get a SNF discharge for rehab, but that's not permanent placement. You're expected to work for it.

It'll be an interesting arc, confounded by Lou's poor understanding and unreliable narration.

Lou clearly doesn't give a shit, and has no plans for the future beyond "tomorrow I must buy spaghetti".

That said, he's also not going to kill himself once his parental tug boat sinks. Best case scenario, he'd house-beg and wind up living in some tranny commune, like with Larper maybe, although like you say, he's too much of an asshole for communal living arrangements. It's also possible he'll find a longterm bed at a homeless shelter and do what he usually does - sit in the public library and fedpost on Disqus all day. Possible, but also very unlikely, since homeless shelters generally expect you to do something to better yourself, and the assorted drug addicts and ex-cons there would almost certainly neck Lou.

Losing his leg early might actually be a blessing for Lou, since it'll give him more time to come up with a longterm, government-backed disability grift that will enable him to keep living w/o work or school getting in the way.

If he somehow manages to stay "healthy" until his parents pass, though? Most likely, he's just going to die of diabetic complications and exposure within days of his parents, and we'll get a nice "Inactive" tag to round out the thread.

This is the arc I'm quietly hoping for, though: someone gains authority over Lou and even if they're pozzed as hell and personally hate confrontation, they've seen a thousand grifters and they have an institution behind them forcing Lou to accept a bare minimum of adult responsibility.

If you let Footless Troonshield claim he can't wash the dishes, you're going to get Meth Thing 1 and Meth Thing 2 begging off their own chores and then everyone has PTSD--and staff at a shelter have managers and a chain they can go to for help with difficult clients.

There are lots of Lous and demi-Lous out there, and there are people who are familiar with the type. Right now Lou's spoiled by his mom's low expectations and the way it makes all his income from furry begging into fun money.

Thanks; now I'm imaging Future Lou leading a communist slave revolt with all his meth addicted hobo pals, completely overwhelming the homeless outreach system of southern PA...

...except instead of arming themselves and overthrowing their oppressors, Lou's meth-smoking grift-gladiators become even MORE helpless, dependent, and lazy, in hopes that they won't have to work and somebody else will take full responsibility for them.

He always looks so smug and his attitude in general probably feeds into why he seems that way (along with his massive frog neck and missing teeth). He's one of those types that simultaneously hates himself but still thinks he's better and smarter than the next guy, and that's why he deserves everything he wants instantly, without effort.

He's going to get enough help from the government to slob up some low income housing until he dies, with no one noticing until he stops posting online

Honestly, with how lazy, incompetent, and incapable of doing literally anything for himself as Louie is, I have a hard time seeing him securing any kind of government assistance for himself without an adult there doing everything for him. I'm fairly certain he's already on some kind of tardbux or welfare, but I'm sure his mother set it all up for him since clearly she's quite experienced in navigating the welfare system. But when she dies and isn't there to set up the appointments, drive him to the welfare office, and fill out all the paperwork for him? Not to mention bring along all the right paperwork? I think he will just sit there making ever increasingly panicked social media posts begging someone, ANYONE, to help (do it all for him), but he himself will not life a single finger to do any of it for himself. He always expects someone else to solve his problems for him, someone else to do all the actual work while he sits off to the side with his nose to his cell phone getting into yet another pointless slap fight with a stranger online.

Slight P/L, but
As a US veteran, I, too, am a tugboat-American. Military tugboats aren't exactly the same as civilian ones - since I got my tugboat from a "service related issue", it bundles the monthly video game checks with "free" healthcare, and the process of applying for one is different. It's not a ton of money by tardbux standards, but it's enough that, had I no other stream of income, I'd at least not starve to death month to month, and could theoretically survive in a seedy motel if I budgeted wisely. e.g. only buying an iPad once every five years.

It was also a bitch to get.

I had help from other adults. I had a year's worth of medical paperwork and daily documentation from an extended medical stay. I had no fewer than three government and non-profit organizations available whose full-time job was to help me navigate the paperwork and process required. And I only got denied once, which is pretty much unheard of, and likely due to the year-long tugboat prescreening I'd endured before, which involved physical therapy, weekly doctor visits, and a stable, immensely boring day job with accommodations. All told, it took maybe two years for my claim to go through and get approved, which was incredibly fast and smooth and I am eternally grateful for how lucky I was.

And that's unlocking Tugboat Achievement on easy mode. I can't imagine how much harder it would be if I was a civilian, applying for the kind of tugboat Lou might qualify for.

tbh, I could probably qualify for even more tugboat now, maybe even double dip into civilian tugboating too. But the amount of time and energy I'd have to put into it would be better spent actually working, even from a pure greed perspective. Yes, you can be an out-of-work redneck NEET in America if you want to, but chasing the dream is, ironically, a full-time job.
All of which is to say that, yeah, Lou is too lazy to be a jobless layabout on his own.

He's definitely receiving SOME kind of tugboat already, whether his own or from Coach and the Horsefucker. Coach is essentially 100% confirmed and for good cause, too, but my money is still on multiple tugboats and some fraud to round it out.

IF, for whatever reason, Lou's mom couldn't pull herself away from horse fucking long enough to get Lou's disability claims filed for him, then Lou is screwed when his parents die. This is really something he needs to get started on himself, now, because he's not going to have the time, the skills, or the psychology to survive both a homeless shelter AND a disability claim that he is solely responsible for.

Maybe that's why he's speedrunning the foot loss, idk, get the foot loss bux from mommy before she passes. Per Munchie threads on KF, crazier things have happened - but I doubt it, though, since Lou isn't cunning enough to plan something that crazy. He may be dimly aware that the more pathetic he is = the more money he can beg off strangers and the government, and that may factor into his fatalism, but as we've said before: he's very stupid, and very lazy.

He doesn't plan, he doesn't act, he just waits, like a big fat trapdoor spider, or maybe a mold that only releases spores when it senses spaghetti, iPads, and tittycat art.

Lou exists entirely on inertia. He either doesn't grasp the concept of linking his present to his future, or he is so severely addicted to his vices that he genuinely has just given up or convinced himself it isn't happening.

Nothing has persuaded him to change course. Not anything his doctors said, indeed he fired his diabetes educator for an absurdly childish and stupid reason. Not Coach slowly dying in the next room from the same disease he is speedrunning on his own body. Not the foot hole and subsequent surgery. Not the changes in his vision. Not a second amputation. Nothing.

He either isn't smart enough to think about his future or he actively refuses to think about it and distracts himself with his addictions: porn, shopping, food, arguing on the Internet. Either way I agree that going through a disability application on his own won't happen, and aside from Denise, assuming she hasn't drunk herself to death by then, nobody will help him either. Random pooners might help him change his birth certificate, but they won't help him through a process that protracted.

Personally I think this story will end with a whimper, not a bang. Lou will just keel over from a heart attack or stroke before he is 50. Nobody will care enough to memorialise his death. His ipads and porn will he thrown in the dumpster. The world will keep turning. The end.

I can’t wait for the “pride prom” pictures this year. His frumpy nana skirts and hot topic trans shirts are always a fashion statement.

Also of course he has his eye on some new cheap shit electronics because when doesn’t he? New begpost incoming soon for life-saving smartwatch and headphones.

We all thought that but remember he has enablers. He had help getting his name changed, setting up therapy, getting on HRT and doing the gender marker change. That's all a lot of paperwork and effort, and the help came from outside of his family.

Once he has the sob story of mommy and daddy dying, he will have people guide him through any additional tugboat procedures until he's set up to rot in a small government housing filled with pizza sauce jars

Hospital case management staff are very motivated to have patients go somewhere that is not the hospital, so that might be the way he gets assistance, too.

You can't just show up with a UTI and demand that they find you a house too, but if Lou loses a foot, there'll be some lady with a fax machine working to get him somewhere he won't just come right back to the hospital.

All of those things are very easy, there is no pushback. You pay the money and those things happen.

He doesn’t qualify for anything. He’s perfectly capable of working and he’s put $0 in to the system.

Legit wheelchair tards get rejected for disability multiple times until they get a sympathetic case worker or pay an attorney more money than Ace has seen in his lifetime.

There will be zero chance of him receiving anything besides Medicare and food stamps.
