I'm often reminded of the arrogance of a lot of modern Star Trek fans who legitimately think that Conservatives in general can not be a fan of this franchise. It's really fucking weird.

It's not weird. It's that they're hypocritical gatekeepers.

They demanded to be let in the door, and then closed the gates behind them on anyone who didn't "fit" their mold. Remember, Star Trek was always woke. (I nearly retched as I wrote that last part.)

I'm not sure of Mustiane's views on Trump. He's a hardcore Christian now, which makes him more likely to not be a shitlib though. Politically Megadeth has been anti-big govt, anti-war/nukes, anti-authority, anti-corruption, and anti-big corporate for 40 years.

So in the 80s-2010s they would have been liberal. The way things have horseshoe'd, they would now be pro-Republican/Trump with those views...

I've liked Megadeth since I was a kid, so I see them as pretty consistent. If Mustaine started suddenly stanning the Military Industrial Complex and Big Pharma, I would be shocked and disappointed.

Dave was known has a hard drinker for a while. He got fired from Metallica for being too much of a drunk in their early stage. And Metallica had the nickname Alocholica back in the day. IIRC, Dave was known to be a mean drunk while Lars and James were more funny drunks. Those two drunk types don't match. Idk if Cliff drank.

I doubt it, he's been a hard right winger since he sobered up and became a born again. Cause some controversy with his criticism of Obama, his support for Rick santorum, and the fact he regularly hangs out with Alex jones.
