The normal ffmpeg timestamp extraction sub-command doesn't work properly and it just keeps encoding forever and doesn't stop where told

move -shortest to after the gif input. Should work.

I'm against watermarking lolcow content. I think it's obnoxious, degrades the quality of the content, and is rooted in a gay petty rivalry with faggy Youtubers over not getting 'respect'. It feels like a fucking trademark dispute. That somehow we're the only ones allowed to talk about lolcows, and that people who talk about them without acknowledging us are 'stealing' content that should be freely available for people to laugh at. It feels petty.
Imagine if every classic Chris video had a troll's username or niggerfaggot obnoxiously bouncing around on it. Or if footage of historical events had some media corp's logo slapped over it. It takes away from the entertainment. And it takes away from the archival value.

If we are going to use watermarks, I think marking media with a Kiwifarms logo or site URL is a better solution than just spamming nigger.
While content creators will bitch and moan about both, crediting the Farms for information is less risky than posting a video with nigger plastered all over it.
Some will throw hissyfits and stop covering lolcows, but most won't. They'll be forced to suck it up and cite the evil keewee farms for their information. They get to make content, and we get properly recognized. Acknowledging Kiwi Farms as a source might become more normalized. Lolcow content will get shared outside of the farms. Which will draw more people to the Farms itself.
Watermarking all content with nigger just means that it never leaves the Farms, people don't find out about the content, and the forum becomes stagnant and decays.
Using the Kiwi URL forces content creators to voluntarily buckbreak themselves to us so they can get that sweet youtube money. Using nigger is just flipping the table in petty rage.

I have left config options at the top of the bat file if you need to change either scale, opacity, speed or the output name.

The bat files are all the same barring the size changes as I dunno how to do that as a changing variable. This is all just thrown together but enjoy I guess.

I've figured out variables so changing stuff is a bit easier. Hope it helps if anyone is going to actually use this.

I think the issue is more that it's sloptubers or twitter engagement accounts literally just harvesting all of their content from threads without providing credit. It's not about ownership over a cow or their content, it's that instead of clipping content themselves, you have parasites stealing content from the Farms without so much as a thank you. Literally just downloading clips other people made for us here to enjoy and monetizing them. That's why there's so much support for the idea of niggermarking, so those same sloptubers would be forced to at the very least create the same clips themselves. Content thieves like that should be dissuaded, and in other situations there should be some recognition to the Farms and the individual users who create said content, even if it's just an acknowledgement in the form of it being a shoutout to the website as a whole.

That's not uncommon, in the form of a logo in the corner or whatever, or in other cases simply recognizing the owners of the footage in the credits of a program. The difference is that in that world there's much more stringent copyright and whatnot over material filmed in real life, versus clipping another person's content. That's what makes this different. While Farmers aren't the cows themselves, it still can take some effort to record/archive/clip content and that's one idea of a watermark somewhat recognizing that effort. Maybe it's not their account name/brand on the watermark, but they're posting it on the Farms and recognizing the Farms in part recognizes their effort.

My suggestion would be an audio niggermark that is stretched out over the course of the vid. So you would just hear a background tone or rumble at normal speeds, but when the audio is sped up enough you can clearly hear it. Hard to detect/be bothered by at normal speeds but clearly marked and can be called out.

I understand what you're saying and mostly agree, especially when it's some stupid shit like some shameless self promotion watermark.

But I don't think most people here are motivated by the idea that we "own" lolcow content. At least I'm not.

It's more that sloptubers take kiwifrens hard work (which is fine), but without ever giving attribution to the source which might help the site grow.

It's pathetic and contemptible because many sloptubers that use site content are afraid to even whisper the words "kiwi farms" on their streams. They are cowards that are so cucked, they are terrified of getting cancelled by their audience or sponsors or demonetized by their platform for giving attribution.

So I think for many of us, this isn't about content ownership, or "respect", but about trolling cowardly faggots that rely on the site but will never admit they do.

I think just "Kiwi Farms" or "kiwifarms.whatever" is better than "nigger". If the goal is to get attribution rather than for people to not re-use the clips.

We've been doing this since last year. We have a clipper in Deathfats who watermarks everything she makes with our name and logo, It's dramatically cut down uncredited use, and also caused some chimpouts. We have another who does the spinny url thing across the screen. Both of these are very funny. Some GorlWorld reactors are very Farms friendly and have no issue using our watermarked clips, so the niggermark wouldn't be appropriate for friends of the Farms.

This I can agree with. Do I think all cows really need a niggermark? Not really. Some are just on this site basically and will most likely never get covered by other creators. I don't think mah boy John Lasheras is going to make it big any time soon. But I think the niggermark will definitely shove it to those creators that make content on the big cows on the site. I personally would much rather have the few come over the many. The site still gets new users every day without the traffic driven from KFmarking.
If the site ran more merch sales, ran ads, actually made money off of traffic to the site, I could see KFmarking as the more reasonable solution, but it doesn't. I'd personally rather gate keep the content than get the influx of alogging retards that KFmarking will bring.

This watermark issue comes up at least once a year. I don’t think there’s ever going to be a site rule, nor do I think there should be one. It’s a case by case thing. It’s funny & cool that someone was able to shut down a sloptuber, art & labor thief. Good going. There has never been a standard or a rule. Methods & how to’s are great, discussion on instances to watermark is great. It’s a personal choice that only the specific user decides, imo.

I think use of niggermarks in BMJ land sounds like it was currently a total victory, you let a valor stealing faggot know he aught to give thanks & credit at the least. This kind of thing cycles, usually happens at least once a year where the question comes up after a sloptuber or other clout whore gets so greedy & faggy that they were asking for it. Then it passes, until the next time, & the conversation repeats, watermark ideas get floated. & so on.

TLDR; Right now shits perfect, no rule needed, use common sense & your own judgement unless you need approval for something extra. Simple as. Have some watermarks of past years, attached.
