I won't bother getting the clip off Shitter but Buttplug couldn't even be bothered to ACTUALLY ride his bicycle to work even one time. You're missing the bigger, fundamental problem. If empty space in a vehicle is bad--then why aren't they advocating for nearly-empty buses and trains to be shut down? Remember, most of their propaganda relies on the (big) assumption that trains are filled to 100% capacity which they almost never are outside of highly-populated areas during rush hours.

When schedules are shortened and routes are cut off it sucks for the people riding them, I'm not going to deny that. San Francisco recently cut some of its lines as part of budget cuts and from the article (archive) and despite the fact that the bus riders are exactly what you'd imagine SF transit users looking like, you can tell that the cuts were after a long discussion that was heavily compromised in mass transit's favor.

Of course, /r/fuckcars has zero empathy, if closing a road or banning something you use ranges from "it doesn't matter" to "you deserve it", touching mass transit or bicycle lanes is the end of the world. We know from the recent "police ticketing cyclists" debacle that when any sort of accountability they demand gets applied to them it's facism.

ETA: if he didnt have some stupid modern designer cargo bike but a classic MTB-style, he could have just bought a separate cargo trailer for bikes and handle these bricks in one go. But instead he has a "cargo" bike which looks like it could barely fit groceries for 2 people, and probably rides empty most of the time. Amazing nonsense.
