Everyone thinks for some reason that Fantastic 4 will not only be good but it will be a hit.
Where does this narrative come from?
I might have said this before but Disney just announced that "this one will be the good one, you guys" and then everyone just went with that narrative.
This shit will not only be horrible, it won't make more than Cap 4.

They should probably cancel Doomsday and focus exclusively on the New Avengers.
I didn't think much of Thunderbolts but audiences really seemed to like It. It would probably be smarter to focus on Bucky and Red Guardian instead of Captain Marvel and Riri Williams.

Doomsday will probably be the most expensive movie in modern history. Flying Robert Cokehead Jr. with private jets to shooting locations on top of his demands for money, the Xmen ensemble cast on top of all the bloated cast members left from the other Avengers movies and then somehow making it all work into a 170 minute CGI shitfest.

Not to mention it being delayed nearly two years, or closer to five since Doomsday very likely began life as the Canceled Avengers Kang Dynasty before being reshot.

The return of Robert Downy Jr plus the return of the old X-Men actors feels like a sign that this movie is going to suck. Makes me feel that they are banking fully on nostalgia making this movie sell as if they don't have any faith in the rest of the product. The last time Disney tried to sell movies based solely off of nostalgia we got the Star Wars sequels and we all know how well that went.

That's the lesson Fagie took from Deadpool and No Way Home. Nostalgia is the only thing that they have going for them since everything they have made since Endgame has sucked. Consider that No Way Home and Deadpool were the only two projects that Disney and Fagie didn't have full control over.

I read a rumor (here? co/?) or theory that Franklin would reset the whole universe (he's in the movie, allegedly). It'd be a terrible move, but it'd be the best for Disney so they can recast favorite characters. A few of them are reaching 60 and the majority are already going 50.
Personally, Im all for mature actors who can not only act, but take it seriously. Zoomer actors are obnoxious. But Disney's entrapped with their own nostalgia and they need a way out to let go.
That or simply stop with the unified universe and make random movies with less exorbitant budgets.

The lesson he learned from D specifically is that the mutants sell, but he doesn't know why is that people like them (by people, I mean normal audiences who only know the movies and the cartoon). That's why he included not just the xmen, but the ones he knows people like.
Realistically speaking, this xmen cast should kick the ass of the current avengers cast, with some exceptions. If he doesn't show that, which is why people like about the xmen, then he didn't get it.

The worst thing is they aren’t diagetic. They look too effeminate, young, toothless. You see Zendaya, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet in a movie where the setting is some Gaelic fantasy land and you’re taken out of it.

There are almost no masculine dudes under 40 in Hollywood.
When fucking Miles Teller is one of the more manly looking young actors right now, Hollywood is in big trouble.
Pretty much the only one I can think of is Glen Powell, the guy from the Twister and Top Gun sequels.

Same character, Laurie from Little Women.
It's not even that he's meant to look younger, because Chalamet doesn't look 15 either.
(That Saorsie chic was perfect as Jo, though)
I remember there was a rumor that Austin Butler could play Gambit or that Qualey girl could be Rogue. Butler walks between the line of not looking like a twink and being handsome, but Qualey is meh. We got lucky that the IW era had actors who didn't look testosterone deficient.

Goyslop unironically has made men more effeminate over the decades.
It's also reflected in the modern Marvel and DC comic art runs as well.
Make adult Franklin as a shadowy hidden figure who in the opening moments of the movie, just pull this off.

Not necessarily.
Take someone like Frank Grillo.
He played Crossbones in the MCU.
He's natural, he just trains a lot.
He's not huge but still looks good.
However, what I also mean is the face.
This dude has a masculine face.
He has a more villain looking face but that's needed too.
Tom Holland looks like a dork and guys like him are the young actors now.

Fantastic Four is likely going to make the most money out of the three MCU films coming out this year since unlike Cap 4 and Thunderbolts, it isn't tethered to a mediocre/bad TV show, it doesn't need several movies to get the plot, and it has been marketed far better than the other two movies.
It is also the first Fantastic Four film in 10 years, and they are a popular hero team, especially with Marvel Rivals adding to their popularity.
Really, the only way I can see F4 bombing is if it is so atrociously dogshit to a level comparable to the previous Fantastic Four movie or gets trounced in the box office by Superman/Jurassic World.

It's funny, they all have their 6-pack but it's just as fake as an obvious boob job. You look at their body and face and can see they never actually actually did any physical labour or get exposed to the sun. They just had a personal trainer and chef to get their goal and stayed there.
