The Montagraph lawsuit is set up to be an October surprise this year. The trial is scheduled for December, and I assume things will accelerate before then. I think Nick will have a great chance at this, since I presume that Chunk's nephew is an American citizen.
Dark horses this year also include Ethan Ralph or Diddler Dax. BMJ is unfortunately enjoying prison and can't generate enough content for us, but if he does a SBF-style prison stream on a smuggled phone that will be hard to beat.
Diddler Dax aka Juju the Cow, (a man who gets fucked in the ass while dressed as a cow), is a very good observation and someone who has the potential of giving Nicholas a real run for his money.
I have a pet theory/fear that within the year of their child being born he will have a complete breakdown under the strains of being a parent. With how deranged he is and how he hates any and all adult responsibility he might outright snap and kill one or both of them during a drug binge, especially if they get a daughter.

I feel like current Lolcow of the Year is really a race to see if iDubbz, Hassan, or Nick can maintain their current public retardation.
If Hassan gets deported/ the Jews get him to grovel then he might win it. However, Nick is in strong contention if he freaks out, Null gets the bodycam (some might say this is finger on the scale, I say it is a Sektor bonus), gets fucked ass to Mouth by Montagraph, and enjoys prison.
Lolcow content hasn't been bad this year, but it hasn't been super high-quality. Unless Hassan ends up committing an actual act of violence I don't see him taking the award.

I think Nick's plan was to squeeze out Aaron and keep Kayla and April, while April's idea was to squeeze out both of them and keep Nick (and his money) to herself. Idk if this was their plans from the start, or if it evolved over time. It's hard to see April as someone who ever had enough "love" to share for three other people. I don't think she'd be willing to share her man unless she was already done with him.
I think Kayla's plan was to keep Nick happy, just like Aaron said. I think she was as bored with Nick as Nick was with her, but she's just too codependent and sloth-like to live on her own. I don't think anybody expected her to catch feelings for AA-Ron, and when it came down to the nut-cutting, she picked money over romance, so I guess the feelings weren't THAT strong.

I see it as build up for the end of the year with the bigger cows. Some of them fall apart due to family stress around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Nick with the lawsuit will be double the stress, double the freakout. He’s pissed off his in-laws and will likely isolate Kayla from her family more.
Ralph is really just a gamble on if it’ll be a whimper or a bang to end his story.

I sure hope @Not Who You Think has put on their five-star speculation cap because during Nick's unhinged rant, A LOT of information was revealed about that marriage, and Kayla specifically.

Apologies for the late reply, I've been travelling. Some of it isn't necessarily "new information" so much as it was corroboration, which is still quite useful. I will address your points below.
Re: Nick couldn't leave Kayla, Kayla was planning to divorce Nick:
Nick already implied that he couldn't leave when he said he was unlucky to have a prenuptial agreement December 27th 2023:
Aaron discussed how everyone in the Qover was suspecting/discussing divorce behind each other's back in June 2024:
Legal Mindset (while reviewing Nick's timeline) discussed how Nick advises people to get a prenuptial agreement and wanted to divorce Kayla but couldn't do it in October 2024. LM says his claim is based on "content creators who have spoken to Nick and spoken to me behind the scenes". He then speculates that Nick was wanting to go "uh... down this way/alley." since Nick couldn't get a divorce. LM also wonders if Nick was making a dig at Kayla regarding staying sexually attractive...
Note that whomever gave Legal Mindset this idea was speaking to both him and Nick, and again, this was disclosed in October 2024.
Re: Kayla knew Nick was boning April when she left the house:
Remember that they were already having sex outside the marriage prior to the Qover. Nick was seeing hookers, and Kayla (according to Aaron) had a big problem with April moving in to "MY HOUSE" but didn't stop Nick from repeatedly equating her with April in terms of love/sex. To date Nick keeps talking about it. Kayla likely doesn't care what Nick does as long as it isn't in her space.
It's similar to the scene in Heat. Pacino is more upset that his substance-abusing wife's lover is using his stuff than the fact she has been (intentionally) caught cheating. Kayla actually holds similarities to both characters; meds/grass/other men to kill the pain and doesn't' care what Nick does as long as it doesn't invade her space.
Difference is, this isn't a pre-scripted scenario where two rotten people are convinced of their superiority while punishing each other. There are children in the home, lots more screaming/fighting, cocaine, and trash, and an additional ruined marriage among other things.

This was apparent even while Aaron was there when they were fighting for their spots in Nick's studio and the harassment Kayla received from Nick and April over her relationship with Aaron. All signs pointed to their relationship being a living hell, and Aaron leaving didn't make things better (which is why they wanted him back).

This follows a natural progression of what he have established thus far. Nick won't end the marriage unless Kayla does. Still, nice to have corroboration on this.
Supposedly it all began when Kayla reached over to kiss April based on Aaron's story, but there is precious little detail between that and when he said the four of them sat down (at some time later) and supposedly Nick and Kayla confessed they had 'more experience with this kind of thing' than they might have let on.
The early days of the polycule is very scant on details.
Here is a summary of what Aaron disclosed after the arrest in 2024:
After meeting both of them in person at the comedy show in October of 2023 the Rekietas and Imholtes grew close. Kayla and April got along well, and Aaron got along well enough with Nick (who was usually on molly at the time). April would go to Nick’s land to hunt and Aaron would sometimes go too. Aaron thinks they may have introduced April to some of their activities before onboarding himself.
When the Imholtes were on vacation in Las Vegas for a Vikings game and Aaron brought up how attractive Kayla was and the idea of swinging. The groundwork had already been laid for this a few days prior in early December (4th?) when they went to Aaron’s house to watch a movie to watch a Tarantino flick. Nick (on molly) pulled out a bullet (container) of cocaine and Kayla and April start making out. Nick then made a move on April and Aaron put a stop to it. They took a break to have sex with their spouses and Nick provides cocaine for Aaron and April. Aaron assumed it was April’s first time taking cocaine, but thought better of it later.
Afterward April and Nick met up in the kitchen and Kayla came into Aaron’s room and starts showing pictures of her family and talking about them. It is unclear exactly what this means, but Aaron was intrigued as Kayla may have also been naked at the time. This led to Aaron talking to April about swinging with the Rekietas, which all parties agreed to. April seemed more eager for than Aaron expected but he was essentially done with her anyway and wanted to move onto someone else. Throughout the endeavor Aaron recalls crying over Kayla, but not April.
Back to the Vegas trip, as soon as Aaron texted the Rekietas about “his idea” to swing, Nick responded by immediately telling them to use and encrypted messaging app, Signal, to communicate. Aaron considers this the first indicator that the Rekietas planned for this and that this would be more trouble than it was worth.
To celebrate Nick’s birthday (December 16th) they all went out to party on the weekend. Nick brought a St. Andrews cross to the hotel where they first switched partners, though the cross was never used.
They went to a strip club, did cocaine, and went back to the hotel room around three/four the morning and they played naked/strip twister while doing more cocaine. April's big reveal about the event is that she had a bloody vagina that night.
On Aaron’s birthday, December 24th, Kayla got him a birthday present and gave it to him at his home. It was an ostrich skin humidor cigar set. Nick wanted Kayla to present her gift for Aaron, so she came down the stairs naked and sat on Aaron’s lap on the couch and they start getting physical. Nick was on the same couch but eventually excused himself to go upstairs. Aaron still can’t get into it though because he can see Nick peeking around the door.
Aaron then tells the group that they should just go to lunch because he can’t do this with an audience. Nick seems startled and hastily explains that he was just watching so that he can know what he should do. Aaron responds by saying he doesn’t need an explanation and just wants to go. Aaron wants to be alone with Kayla and isn’t interested in others spectating.
Kayla even had a small fight with Nick about his watching and told Nick to leave them alone to do their thing. Nick responded by describing how he enjoyed watching them be cute together, which prompted Kayla to hit him and say “we’re not cute, we’re sexy.”
This led to another story where Aaron confessed that Kayla would try to sneak Aaron into her while the others were around in bed. One time Kayla reached for Nick’s hand and he got up and left.
At this point Aaron didn’t know much about Hedonism II, but still knew about the Rekieta’s “reputation”. About 1 ½ to 2 months in, Nick and Kayla would sit Aaron and April down and confess that they had lied to them and that they had more experience with this than they let on. They spoke about their experiences in Jamaica, including their first eager foray into swinging that resulted in Nick not being able to perform sexually (Kayla’s partner did).
