No. Shipping freighters are quite literally giant floating tubs, the easiest thing to build relative to tonnage. They need an engine, control center, and a crew quarters for maybe 20 people max. Then basic navigation. They're basically giant uhauls.

The fact is there's really nothing important freighters can be converted into military wise other than transports, which have their uses in war, but that can be said of any ship.
