Why do Trumptrannies hate education institutions and students so much, it's unreal. the average Trumpcel would have a full on tranny meltdown if they found out you can read and write above an 8th grade level. I cannot understand this hatred toward one of the best schools in the world.
Every single political regime, from monarchs to communists, despise the educated classes, to some extent or another, because they invariably always remain a threat to any regime they're subject to. Even some people operating exclusively within a STEM field, like those who worked on the Manhattan project, turned out to be Marxists. Even the Democrats aren't safe, as seen with how students started protesting Biden's inaction in putting a stop to the conflict in Gaza. This can be best encapsulated by how Plato deemed democracy to be inefficient, but instead advocated for Greek city states to be ruled by a "Philosopher King". A lot of academics hold a similar bias, even if they don't realize it, the desire for their ideas and beliefs to dictate societal norms. And that's true regardless of what political affiliation they hold (which is typically always contrarian to the status quo).
It feels odd giving grants to schools to help out with their projects only for them to turn around and hand out opportunities to foreign students that people hoped would go to Americans.
It made more sense during the cold war era, when things like "operation paperclip" or accepting jewish scientists like Albert Einstein revealed that adopting educated foreigners within your country yields very high reward at a time when there was very strong pressure to technologically outcompete USSR. Not only that, but it allowed to indoctrinate students from the 3rd world into western ideology. Today, in a multipolar world order, where current tensions are dictated by trade wars and not ideology, it is harder to justify such projects, if the educated foreigners decide to go back to their country, as they're no longer seen as ideological pawns, but an economic loss.
Some people would say anti-intellectualism is more prevalent in America than in Europe, but I don't think that's accurate, I've seen plenty of it here.
Yeah, it highly depends. Although when people refer to Europe, they typically just refer to the same 3 countries (UK, France and Germany), they don't refer to Armenia, Slovenia or Albania... I'm not sure most people would be able to point these countries on the map.
The whole “book learnin’ is for fags” shit was rampant during the Dubya era and the reason was simple: they needed more cannon fodder for more forever wars. In this case, they’re trying to establish a caste of jeets for white collar work. That was the whole foundation of Elol Musk’s rants about how white people can’t program. Whenever Retardlicans want to discourage their base from higher education, their alternative is always something shittier for them to do. Skip college to get blown up in Iraq or skip college to work on the factory floor for $20 an hour. Sure your body might be a mess by 40 but at least you didn’t have to get taught by a libtard at college!
This is exactly what is happening in Russia and other Eastern European countries right now. White trash culture like Gopniks went from being vilified as a societal nuisance to pinnacle of masculinity. It is surreal how just over a decade ago, there was a prominence of moral panic surrounding violent video games, that it will make young men violent and aggressive and now everybody's complaining that young men today are sissies and pansies, while kids at school are sharing footage of literal war crimes being committed, and nobody bats a fucking eye anymore, even though it's substantially more gruesome and disturbing than anything put in a video game.
