I find the whole meme surrounding Idiocracy of
>IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE A DOCUMENTARY

interesting, because while basically any political creed can get behind the idea of, "There's just too many stupid people!", the notion that there is a threat of the unintelligent and dysgenic outbreeding the intelligent is just too adjacent to icky, problematic chud ideology for redditors to handle. Mike Judge probably understood such an idea wouldn't go over well with 20th Century, either, and softened the blow by making much of the film's idiot population a mix of cornfed rednecks and hyper-consumerist white Americans, but that still doesn't ease the feeling of dread progressive types get in the face of the films soft-endorsement of eugenics.

What they have to do, then, to capitalize on the memetic potential of the film while steering clear of the more "problematic" themes at the heart of it, is selectively link surface-level elements with whatever political aim they have at the moment, usually by implying that the film is actually about how stupid and "deeply unserious" the heckin' drumpfies are. But in cases like the post above, when a redditor actually watches the film and can't just take the movie at a surface level "Haha people are so dumb (except for me, of course!)", they suddenly can't take the heat from what is actually being implied underneath the hood.

Just wait until these "IDIOCRACY IS BECOMING REAL" people find out that Mike Judge hangs out with Alex Jones.

So who's going to tell the Redditors that if Idiocracy happened, the stupid people would be overwhelmingly brown?

In fairness to Judge a lot of the extras and unnamed characters are nonwhite/mutt-looking. It's nothing crazy but depicting browns as dysgenic in any capacity wouldn't be allowed today; a remake would have 90+ percent of the extras be pasty trailer trash.

ah sports subreddits being the beacon of morality again i see, on god if your life consists of nothing of sports and fighting over sports players online and dicking on people who aren't really into competitve sports you are as much as an lolcow as many of the topics of the threads being made here.
Growing up i thought i would understand middle aged adults who make sports their identity. But the older i get the less i understand people like this. if you're an amateur athlete who plays soccer or basketball in a community or you coach your kids and play with them and then also watch the pros, i get that. But the people who just watch NBA or NFL while gorging themselves on boneless "wings", baffling. It's like building your identity around porn and never fucking.

This guy apparently formed a parasocial relationship with sports as a gen x latchkey kid. Is that what's going on?

The HimboVegan guy has become a recurring character in rdrama threads for his absolutely shameless displays of pathological attention seeking. Whether it's his shitty "fashion", his long covid struggle, or his one man protests, he has for whatever reason decided it's his calling to blog it to any subreddit that might give him positive attention. He apparently thinks this will bootstrap his fashion brand of T-shirts with spray painted (for lack of a better word) libtard slogans.
I guess he still hasn't figured out that there's no money in being a reddit influencer

"Hey Reddit can I perform a citizens arrest on a federal law enforcement agent for arresting illegal immigrants?"

There is no way this guy fits in one airplane seat.
How would you know that an ICE agent is detaining someone without a warrent? What would you see that would make you come to that conclusion?
ICE came to his house to deport his 6-year-old child bride back to her mother in Manila,

Visual venture did a new vid on reddit and the shoplifting one in particular well, sadly like restera they splintered off and theres lot more communities there that show off shoplifting hauls and tips and reddit is too busy enabling and radicalizing minors turning into sextoys and future antifa mass shooters to even clamp down on this shit so if i was any of you guys who had a reddit account i reccomend mass reporting the shoplifting communities asap as im sure lot of you guys work in small buisnesses in retail and complacency is after all how one gets fired and with inflation being a thing we don't need one more reason for shoplifting to be even more expsensive stuff than we usually have.
Why even bother putting a period at the end of all that? Anyway can't say I give a shit about shoplifters. There are far worse things on reddit than these retards who will eventually get caught

In fact this was the major reason the movie was buried by Fox Studios with absolutely no marketing campaign.

They were afraid of catching flack for the very politically incorrect "brown retards breed more brown retards" implication of the movie.

The mormon wives show is such a great showcase of how retarded the loophole shit is when taken to the absolute extreme
That kind of formalist reasoning is the process by which fundamentalist religions chill the fuck out. If god wanted Mormon thots to not take ketamine and mdma, he would have called them out in the tablets. This kind of loophole-driven religious practice keeps communities together and keeps AWFLs from losing their mind and going full childless shitlib robin deangelo Floyd-worshipper, those women end up that way bc the lack of any community or value system.

I mean, it's the same way with people that watch star wars and sci Fi all the time. People have guilty pleasures. me personally, I'm working towards producing live sports, and growing up, you couldn't drag me away from ESPN. Unless it was High Noon, that one was ass.
