The writing in Marvel tends to be very pro-leftist. "We are perfect as we are!" says Demigod to Fragile-man. They have the same attitude with LGBTQ+. Ignore the crimes, the problems, anything really. Marvel is the house of ideas. That is, ideas regardless whether they are good or not.
You never grow up with 90s kids cartoons did? Girls farting on television on general pretty rare until tumblr and deviant art users started to get jobs in the western animation industry.
The ideas come from privileged people that like to pretend they know about or they live oppression.
Remember when they made a Native American variant of Captain America based on a tribe that fled to MEXICO just so they would not be part of America? They spat on the history and beliefs of that tribe and called it representation.
It is almost as if the stuff that Zack was complaining about in the past had merit. This might be a bit off-topic but it is good to remember that Zack had a point in the past when he was calling out what the Big 2 were doing. A return to roots is good every now and then.
That’s what makes what he’s doing now so poison. He knows this stuff is unappealing and WHY it’s unappealing to the masses. However, now that he’s decided it’s ok, you’re supposed to also ignore all of that and think it’s ok.
Most of the people who bought the Rippaverse books in the beginning were either Eric's audience or EVS's audience. As for as the people that read them that weren't part of either, the worst I ever hear from them is that they were okay. Some neutral readers like them, others didn't, but they all agree they're not as terrible as Frog King himself tries to say they are. As for Iconic I've seen him and his little club say the same thing about them as well, AND sometimes even worse. At this point I'd rather let the market speak for me, and so far Rippaverse and Iconic are out selling the Indie market when it comes to comics that are not sold like the mainstream are. Hell I already see new people get into them both and quite a bit of them said that they found something they enjoyed, meanwhile CG keeps losing support based on their atrocious attitude alone. Apparently the Rippaverse trolls "even the people that never had an interest in it" love to go by the quality is bad narrative, and Iconic trolls like to say that nobody knows about it at all. They both were pretty much started and continued by EVS. But whatever it is what it is, it's not like they're doing any real damage to either one of them now. ALOT of EVS's audience hated Rippaverse as soon as EVS decided he wanted to. As for the new people getting into it, yeah they always find something to enjoy. People just want to read them to enjoy them, and that's what's happening....oh AND they also deliver. Also most of you didn't like them because they were not what you all wanted, not because they were actually bad. That's fine, I mean they are not terrible.... with the things you go by that would make EVERY Indie comic terrible.
Ok, so I saw the title of this, and I thought that Mark Millar and Eric July were in some sort of Internet argument. So, I take it that what is really going on is that Richard thinks you should give money to Mark Millar's crowdfunded book rather than buy the new Rippaverse book. That makes the video title and the image he used somewhat deceptive. Newsflash, Richard, no one, and I mean no one, is making decisions on which comic books to buy or movies to see based on your opinion.
