Yeah I can see how that would become a problem as we shift rapidly towards all-digital, but even then I get so many "free" games through PS+ I almost never buy anything any way.

I get the concern with Nintendo, but they put out first party games so infrequently (of which I buy very few) that it's not something I really notice.

Because how many game studios are putting out anything even close to worth that price tag?

I remain confused why people are up in arms about the $80 price tag when we all know it'll be at least half price in a couple months.

In my currency, that means a game is potentially going to be over $160 as its standard edition cost. Going on sale for half price means it still costs almost as much as my cheapest possible grocery budget each week.

Sometimes that doesn't happen, if a publisher is willing to do good regional pricing, but that tends to only be the case with indie publishers, it's very rare a AAA dev/pub doesn't go for $130 at minimum. This also gets more complicated on platforms other than Steam, where NZD usually aren't supported, and at best I need to kinda game the exchange rate to get a good deal in AUD or USD.

At the same time, I am self-aware of the fact I basically never play AAA games anyway, and I live in a country where piracy has been amazingly easy my whole life (plus very generous consumer protection laws), so I can avoid a ton of these issues.

The really stupid thing is as soon as he was dead, she altered the show to fit what she wanted it to be, not what it had been for years and what the fans liked, and Jesse and Dodger just went along with it. Then she moved the show off TB's channel and onto her own without any warning, so people probably assumed it stopped because way less people were subscribed to her. And then she stopped the show anyway. She didn't even post the animated shorts Julian did after TB died.

I would occasionally listen to TB's podcast back in the day, when I was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and had no idea what trannies were (or kiwi farms, for that matter). I distinctly remember my thoughts from the episode with LKD in it.

I'll say this: Totalbiscuit was definitely headed towards becoming a full-blown lolcow. He did take himself far too seriously, after all. But even with his relationship with LKD, at least he wouldn't have trooned out like Jimbo did. The guy had a lot of faults, but a lack of a strong sense of identity was not one of them.
