I have several thousand hours in various flight sim games and programs, I guess that makes me a certified pilot according to curry nigger.

Flight simulators can be close enough to actually be worthwhile for training - even if not certified for such (especially if you’re doing IFR because there ain’t shit to see anyway).

Shooters maybe barely can teach you a bit about room clearing tactics (I remember a DooM hint guide that included that) - but other than that they don’t teach shit.

I learned more from Silence Of The Lambs than I have from shooters --always check your corners, Starling-- but Guitar Hero did make me better at playing real guitar because it forced me to incorporate my pinky finger and play in time instead of as fast as I could.

I'm glad that video games translate to 1:1 muscle memory in real life. So glad I no longer need to go to the range to work on my skills and can just spend $10 on Steam for the same results. It isn't even a close quarters shooting game. It takes across a large battlefield with trucks, tanks and helicopters and you only play against combatants. I think there are only like 2 or 3 pistols in the game, its mostly rifles, machine guns and sniper rifles and shit. It isn't in some city street in an urban center in the USA with civilians and police and shit.
