Except he didn't change shit about the content that many people were bringing up, until after gn made the video. To this day they are still making the same errors and haven't really improved. If Linus was actually focused on improving the content there be an argument here.

He also didn't do shit after having his company being accused of being a minimum wage content mill, except add another channel with AI voiceover to act as a content mill mostly talking about halfassed PSU reviews where somehow 25% of the PSUs they get for testing just die even though that never happened for any previous website doing serious PSU reviews(hardocp, johnnyguru, etc.) indicating that their testing methodology using a bunch of expensive equipment that they admitted they barely understand how to use, may be a bit flawed.

I've got a 4080, and a habit of skipping generations. I was almost regretting not shifting to odd generations after the 30 series cemented a trend of the even series being linear upgrades and the odd series being better value to performance. Not that I feel that the 40 series ripped me off or anything, just that niggling feeling that I was on the wrong side of the curve.

And then the 50 series dropped, and I guess I dodged the trap after all. Not that it matters much for my personal gaming, I'm still sticking to 1080p high refresh rates, but extra beef is always appreciated in CAD, 3D Modeling/Sculpting and Game Dev, all of which also mean that switching to AMD is really a no-go. They might have decent gaming performance now, but their performance in 3D workloads outside of videogames is absolute trash.

And now we can't even trust any of the reviews for cards going forward, if Nvidia is pulling this shit for the 50's, there's no good reason to believe they won't try again. Genies outta the bottle, 60 series is gonna need AI Salt Generation to handle the skepticism.

"Oh you can have cargo room but you have to fold two seats down and only have 4 people, OMG why would a car company do this?"

He's impressed by the room inside a minivan, the same room any other cheaper modern minivan has, that also isn't a short range EV.

Doesn't understand that the 6 seat version with 2nd row captains chairs is a premium option so comes in the premium trim packages while the 7 seat 2nd row bench is the cheaper option that comes in lower trim packages.

Bitches that the rear seats need folded down for more cargo space like every 3 row SUV and minivan on the market. As if VW would bother with an extended wheelbase version of this thing?

"minivans have no competition in north america" no shit, because they aren't popular. Yet still, 2 by Chrysler, Honda, Kia, Toyota, VW, and Mercedes all make them, yet hardly anyone buys them to the point where Kia has styled theirs to look more like an SUV.

Claims that there's more space in the 6 seater VW minivan, after bitching about it not having a 2nd row bench.

Sure, and it's expected out of Linus, Except this time he's contradicting himself and being an idiot in general about shit like the 2nd row of seats. Even at the beginning of the video he mentions his wife liking the stupid VW minivan more rating it a "7 out of 10" whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean and implies she'd give up the porsche macan for this stupid thing that starts at $60k, isn't actually available at a dealership in the US below $62k, and half of them are priced at $70-72k and up. I've seen all of one of these things on the road because it turns out no one wants to pay $80,000 after taxes for a fucking minivan in this economy especially when you can get a fully loaded toyota, kia, honda, etc. for $20-25k less.

Actually the model in the video is the extended wheelbase option (the only one available in NA). In europe they also have the standard one that's 10 inches shorter.

lol, interesting. I hadn't even considered there could be a shorter version of this thing as the version in the video is still a solid 18-30 inches shorter than something like a full size LWB SUV that would have some more cargo room behind the third row that he's bitching about.
