To get to the point where your worldview aligns with right-wing "the world is going to hell and we're all just along for the ride" sensibilities requires one not to be a particularly well-adjusted or optimistic individual. Same thing goes for hardcore /leftypol/ types, there's a reason why guys like Synth or Rudyard or whoever their left-wing equivalents would be are weirdos. Anything less than that and you either get soft "conservative" types who are just a few steps behind the cultural zeitgeist or outright shills who have no principles like Critically Drunk Faggot.

The 80s cover band story is probably the best indication that he's fucked and can't be fixed.

For the unaware Synthmom dragged him out of his goon cave to see a boomer band and Synth sulked and stared at the ground and mumbled whenever anyone tried to talk to him.

He was also too anxiety ridden to go to the beer tent and order a beer so his mom had to go do it for him.

You can't fix that level of dysfunction, especially if you're already 30.

Goalposts and definitions keep on changing, it gets quite confusing talking about politics now that every Tom, Dick, and Harry talk about it so casually.

I know who I am and what I stand for. In some respects I sway right, in others left. I believe in balance, can't have too much of anything. You need counteracting forces keeping things at equilibrium, so as to not have the pendulum swing into the extreme ends of the spectrum.

I know with the way things are in the west, you've got people reacting quite severely to the extreme non sense that's occurring. Some will argue it's because of a lack of stern intervention that things ended up the way they did. I don't believe that to be honest. Western culture has been artificially altered by outside forces in the last two decades or so(some would argue way longer). Society when left to it's own devices has it's own way of maintaining order and such. Modern culture, in the west at least, is artificially propped up. People would revert to normalcy given the opportunity(In my opinion at least).

I just want things to go back to the way they used to be in the 90s/early 2000s. When I mentioned someone with "right wing sensibilities", I should've added: "in some respects".

"Gotten" is a stretch, Synth has been lazy for a long time now and admits as much every stream. I wonder if he's even going to make the Tainted Grail video, he really didn't seem interested by the end and said it would basically be another "Sincerity is Dead", but at least for Dread Delusion he obviously didn't like that game and he even put it on his worst games list for that year. Unless Tainted Grail explodes in popularity and becomes the next big culture war thing being shilled as BASED by the anti-woke types because it's not aggressively pozzed like Dustborn or Velma, I doubt he's really motivated to review a title that he feels at most tepidly negative about (Stalker 2 comes to mind).

It's a bit of a shame as I really like the "___ is Dead" format, they're like Ptolemy's videos where it's thoughts surrounding a subject rather than a strict "review" with gameplay, story, etc etc. I think the next "confirmed" video is the Summer Games Fest reactions, he said he's not doing a final Last of Us S2 video because nobody cares anymore and that's probably true but I wish he'd do it anyway, if only because he covered the rest of the season and I'm sure it'd get good views.

This came up in last night's stream, he mentioned possibly taking a one week break in mid-June after the Summer Games Fest. In terms of "planned" streams there's Nightreign with Devin and Sven this friday (tomorrow, he estimated they'll start at 7PM EST and go 3 hours or so), Chudcast next week and then the Summer Games Fest (possibly with Devin) next friday on the 6th; there will likely be a "Chilling" stream or two sprinkled in and again I assume he's doing a SGF video but after that, he might take a week off.

I'm not sure if Egad is personally invested in this collab or what but he pushed it pretty hard, Synth didn't seem too happy at the end but to be fair his first response was "he (JDA) could be on Chudcast, maybe. I'm kind of down for whoever to be on Chudcast, yeah" so I suppose Egad took that as an invitation to keep going. Considering he sent JDA a DM within five minutes of first mentioning it however I wonder what the deal is, maybe he just really likes JDA? I'm not familiar with his content so I can't say anything but I remember the "Goonergate" drama from a while back and some furry images from Jon on Twitter, so maybe JDA and Devin will have something to bond over.
