Troonslop "Retro" Games / Demake games / PS1 Trannies / ULTRAKILL / Y2K trannies - Retro gaming is infected

I plan on writing a "short" review here on the game "The Deadseat," another pixelshit low poly game with lazy gameplay similar to other indie games that's also an allegory. Is there another review or OP of a thread I can look at for good formatting?

it's just a behavioural checklist, not something that actually exist in people's brain as a one platonic thing
From what I've read there's evidence pointing towards a lack of synapse pruning during development of the brain. I understand your point of view, coming from the age of the self-diagnosis, and some personality disorders can surely seem like that yet (albeit it depends on which one), but in the neurological <-> psychological spectrum autism is closer to a hard condition.

Does this count as slop?
Because holy crap is it visual garbage. It actually gave me a headache looking at it.
A detail about this happening that the whole thread somehow missed:
The developer is an Indian.

Gosh man....not to come off so MATI but these people are genuinely annoying. Of course threads like this exist because of them but the ones that have nothing to really offering anything other than "representation". They don't offer anything of real value but feel like they do because they were born somewhere else or not white and that gives them justification to be inserted in other media or specifically create media feels like generic pandering because it serves to spoon feed whoever it is representing.

I went and checked his xitter and saw that he did not troon out, he's just fucking this they/them thing. Though there's the possibility for him to be groomed by his lover and discord in the future

Just look at that bio and ponder:

In retaliation, not only did Salem wiped her/his/xem whatever bio clean (and locked the acc and the alt), but Mason Lindroth now has pronouns in his username. Not even in bio.
It's afraid.webp

I've been following this guy's art for  years, and this is the first time i see him partake in any politics whatsoever. Hell, even his Instagram is fine, no pronouns, nothing outrageous.

Which can only mean one thing.

Hi, Mason! Hi, Salem! We know you two are reading these posts, so let me cut the crap and get to the point. I've been following Hylics topics since inception, been there, done that. I've seen what political brainrot does to people, this thread no doubt can show you such examples. The tide is shifting, and you must be aware that some people just don't want unnecessary bullshit in their games. You obviously can't control your fanbase, but you must also know that it's already divided and toxic. When even the fucking Hylics reddit cannot handle the loud minorities' shenanigans, you know it's a dire situation. Need I remind you that you froze your initial Discord server, Hylicord, because of such individuals leading a dogpile against an artist?
You are not required to make a public statement in defence or draw a line to make things straight especially over a 5 year old drama, but be aware that feeding into the demands and desires of such audience will not prove fruitful in the long run. They will abandon you over slight inconvenience, they will smear your name, if you do something wrong. For all I've seen of you, Mason, you're just... a guy. A normal art guy just doing his normal game dev things. It would be a massive disappointment if you take a dive into whatever ideological warfare you are being pulled into. Please, just make a good Hylics 3 game.

Oh, and also
I know Dedusmuln is "non-binary" or something but that is about it
Dedusmuln is a confirmed dandy man, but the community kept nagging the creators about his "unidentified" gender, which is why many claim that this character is a non-binary. But it's a male, and always has been.

and I actually like Hylics too but you can't hold your breath for these types to not put their nonsense in their work especially when they become way too comfortable with their community dictating things. Has me worried about what the next Hylics will be considering both games have largely avoided dealing with real world stuff of this caliber and it will be awkward if suddenly characters start talking about gender and politics that don't even make sense in their world. Reminds me of another game i love called Streets of Rogue. Heard about a sequel and got excited then I saw an interview with the creator and saw pronouns next to their name and the host name not to mention that while the game probably doesn't have troonslop identifiers (that I am aware of) the art style in the poster definitely sends off a few alarms.

artstyle looks very AIslopy, looks like the kind of thing you'd ask something like grok to churn out.

"""Shorter""" review because I'm bored, might make a more detailed review but this is long enough.

The Deadseat is the newest pixelshit low poly troon(?)slop that's making the rounds on Jewtube lately, making in an unsurprising 24 hour(+) dev time:
The game features some of the most uninspiring mechanics and storytelling imaginable, featuring "whoa my DS Lite ('member DS?) is haunted," allegories up the ass, dumbed down Fnaf style gameplay, and a cliffhanger that is only continued in the "hardcore" difficulty. Because of course there's one.

The story boils down to your parents driving home while getting into an argument, so you boot up your DS-oh I'm sorry, "Game Kyd" (trannies love retro, also it's a DS but in reality it's a gameboy because muh retro) only to discover that it's HAUNTED, OOOOOOOOO. The game you boot up mimics your situation, with you needing to get to "the happy cave" where all your misery fades away. In the game, you're told to collect items (firstly a camera) in this "classic retro" mini-game akin to something like Zelda, then go back on the road and collect gas cans. However, you're also told that something is on the roof of the car and you need to scare it away with the camera flash, this is where the Fnaf style gameplay comes from. You look left, you look right, you close the doors-I mean flash the monster away (yeah that part is still the same), repeat. That's it, that's the entirety of the gameplay from start to finish. Oh and the spoopy monster starts to appear in the retro mini-game where you have to dodge while you collect items in both mini-games. Your parents are also clueless to the happens, as it's all in his head because "muh trauma."

That's also the story of the game, the main character's parents argue about nonsense in front of him and ignore his concerns as he feels powerless and alone, which I don't mind really, in fact it reminds me of my early childhood. It's unoriginal and boring, much like the gameplay (which again is quite literally just collecting items while repelling the scary monster that turns out to be a monsterous fusion of your parents). The monster itself talks to you and seems to feel bad for you, but still tries to kill you anyway because...dunno, putting you out of your misery I guess, or under orders of the real/other Big Bad you'll see later. Eventually your parents disappear as you're now introduced to a new mechanic, one that I mentioned but this is structured poorly so eh, you basically have to check the DS while also checking the windows for items and the scary monster that'll appear in the middle of the road and kill if not dodged.

After enough exposition, you're manipulated into grabbing the wheel and throwing the car off the road and cliff (that suddenly appeared) while your parents suddenly re-materialize and somehow not manage to throw the kid off the wheel as they crash. You wake up to daylight to find your parents horribly mangled and yourself with potentially broken legs. Oh yeah and you just eat your parents rotting (its been days) corpse...whole...somehow. With broken legs. I'd imagine he just Kirby's them because it makes as much sense as this game. Eventually you manage to recover well enough to walk (starving with implied broken legs) as you're told by the DS you've reached the Happy Cave. As you reach the happy cave, you're grabbed by a mysterious entity that's just a giant face with hands as it tells you that you're now home. And thus ends the normal ending.

People made all sorts of theories about the ending so the developers decide to oblige and make a final ending...it's shit except for one part. So, in hardcore (one life, except if you have "cola" which restarts the level I think, monster's eyes glow red and will attack if you flash it, riveting new mechanic) you're thrown in the back seat again, but now you have a new companion, a little girl. The little girl is initially confused and confuses you, until you realize this is all in the MC's head and he's actually tied up to a chair or something and is reimagining his car trip in order to try and save his parents. Obviously this goes nowhere, the little girl being the only comfort as the entity talks to you and tries to convince you to stop resisting, we're also revealed that the little girl also had a dysfunctional family and ended up in the Happy Cave just like the MC.

At the end of the game, your character finds a "stone of destiny" or some shit which turns out the be the DS he was holding, then wakes up from the dream state back to the cave only to find the little girl murdered by sapling as the entity prepares to do the same to him. Apparently this "stone of destiny" the entity...entities...the DS? Yeah it flip flops between the entities manipulating you to the DS guiding you or something. Anyway, the entity is confused in how you got the "stone" (DS) that...you had the entire time...even using it in front of him I think, he charging at you only for you to flip the DS around and trap him in it. The little girl's corpse also vanishes as the game cuts to black as you make your way out of the cave, the second entity begging you not to leave as "only he can provice you happiness, as you still killed your parents and are alone." You then bump into a deer who the MC for some reason (take a shot for how many times shit just happens) recognizes as Amy despite no way of knowing. So yeah, the second entity murders kids by shoving saplings up their ass or something and makes it grow, which turns them into animals. You somehow, after starving, having fucked up legs, while later being stuck on a chair for God knows how long (and probably having "The Giggles") gather the strength to smash the DS in half.

Now, here comes the only part I liked, the "good" ending is still fucked beyond belief. The shot pans out as the children who were murdered and turned into deer and rabbits (and only those two, time constraints probably) are...still animals, forever. You didn't free anyone, you're stuck in the forest with no food and probably two mangled legs, and as the shot pans out more you see the horror in how many kids actually got "sapling'd:"

Not sure if the chairs are supposed to be dates, in which case it probably maniputed children with various unknown means before our "stone of MacGuffin" or it's the amount of children he transformed, either way this entity got around. Oh and there was a beta ending (the original "24 hour dev time" game or something) where you got trapped in the DS, this adds nothing but I felt the need to mention it. Yeah, shitty review for a shitty game, I don't care enough to make it better.

Wow. What a waste of a fucking idea.
Really on-the-nose too. "Happy Cave"... Fuck off.
Also it needs a million textboxes *rolls eyes*
If you want this sort of thing done well (and more to the point - SUCCINCTLY*), just watch the game overs from Katamari Damacy. It even does the "mindfuck in a kids game" premise better.

*Indie devs keep dragging shit out. I've got this long half-written essay on how a certain obscure scene in Anodyne 2 was way better when summerized in a review than actually watching it in full.

The exposition is longer than the gameplay parts I think.
Katamari Damacy
That shit hit me hard, "This was not your fault, but Ours for believing in you." On a more positive note, there's a mini-game if you Google this game.

Looking forward to reading it then.

Might also keep an eye out for one of Hylics lead composers (aside from Lindroth), Chuck Salamone, as he is also quite an interesting specimen too.
