Think about the nerds in school who get picked on for being academically gifted. Or the artsy kids who get the same treatment from the jocks for being talented musicians. It’s done out of jealousy. Jealousy, because the bullies envy the skills, awards, and recognition that the aforementioned students receive. These are all things that they lack, and seriously wish that they had themselves.

Troons, while they do seethe at JKR for her general happiness, especially seethe at her healthy relationships because they themselves have none, and are jealous of the ones that she has. Remember, these are people who blew up and destroyed every healthy relationship they’ve ever had with their friends, family, colleagues, spouses, and children, all in pursuit of a fetishistic lie. And as much as they think that they may be happy now, it’s all a cope to push away the niggling voice of reason in the back of their heads that reminds them of how badly they fucked up. It’s all a matter of avoiding becoming a member of the 41%. So, when they see one of their boogeymen relishing something that they fervently wish that they themselves had, it makes them rage like few other things can.

I like to imagine Rowling and her husband sitting on the couch together. He shows her a funny comment off of reddit or kiwifarms or something, and she laughs. Then she shows him the latest tweet she sent to her favorite whipping boy india and he gives her a kiss on the cheek.

I was actually thinking about this, the other day. Do you think they'll change Cho Chang's name in the new TV show? A lot of the slitty-eyed community got velly angly about that online, back in the day, even before the whole trans thing blew up - I vaguely remember some cringey slam poetry video called 'I Am Cho Chang' or something, that did numbers, back on Tumblr.

Personally, I don't think they will, but I am convinced that a conversation was definitely had about it at some stage in the show's development.

I bet you they're currently worrying about how to portray the goblins since they're in the series from the start. Every time a fantasy race is portrayed as ugly, scheming, gold-obsessed manipulative traitors there's always a backlash from Jews who insist it must be a slight on them. I can't possibly imagine why.

I reckon ChingChong Chinawoman's name probably stays the same, but they'll likely make Dumbledore a flaming homo from the start. He'll probably have rainbow flags all over his office or something.

If they do change it, I suspect they'd probably just call her Qui Zhang, which is the name they use in the Chinese version of the books. That seems like the safest, least controversial option - it's spineless, and completely unnecessary, but if they were adamant about changing it to be PC, that's what I would probably do if I was a hack working for Warner Bros and wanted to keep my cushy screenwriting job.

Do the goblins even have a bigger role in the books aside from "work at Gringotts"? They had no problem having evil goblins in Hogwarts Legacy and they made sure the game was super inclusive on every level.

Stonewall is the vanguard of the troon menace, they're not some innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire. Their whole shtick for years has been to conflate the T with the LGB (and the blacks too when they were feeling extra saucy) and ram fascistic political correctness down media, education and corporate throats. They're a big part of the reason we're in this mess.

Goblins have never really been involved with the plot at large outside of specific goblins doing things.

Personally I'm wondering if they'll adapt Hermoines House-elf Lives Matter arc. The larger audience reactions to them basically saying "oh no we're naturally servile" would be hilarious.
