Clicking the start menu on Windows 11 causes CPU processing to spike about 21% for no reason at all.

There's your supergenius jeet programming in action.
I recently heard that 30% of the code in windows 11 was done with AI.. Don't know how true that is, but it would help explain the bloat.

A cold civil war, mind you -- no guns, yet, but wait until it warms up and Antifa decides to try and pipe bomb their way into the Marxist Utopia their Gender Studies professors promised them like they did last time -- but a civil war nonetheless.
We've had states (Washington, Oregon off the top of my head) talk about forming up interstate alliances to counter the federal government. This is unmistakably a sequence of events leading to a civil war — it just always takes decades for things to really boil over. "Nothing ever happens" guys get to thrive for most of their lives, but they tend to be extremely wrong a few times per century.

Nothing ever happens until it does.

These things happen one way, and one way only: "Extremely slowly, then all at once." It's been true every single time it's ever happened.

Do I think we're going to see another actual hot civil war? No. I could see the feds start arresting some of the left's big name agitators, and I think it's a matter of time until Antifa and the Black Bloc hits FAFO stage -- a few handguns would give the left the "crying antifa girl over dead bodies" shot they desperately want. The Antifa goons are too stupid to realize they're being used like that; the smart ones fucked off forever after Rittenhouse, especially after he got off on one of the most crooked show trials ever (which was only stopped because the judge refused to play along -- if it had been a black or female judge he would have been fucked).

My big worry is the big domestic terrorists of the 70s were allowed to walk free, cause we didn't have the political will to pull them out from society by the roots. No one wanted Senator Silverstein's retarded commie daughter to get arrested for terrorism, not when they can just let her go be harmless in school getting an education degree. Those people have been programming Antifa, BLM, and every other wokescold group imaginable for decades. It's almost a guarantee they'll hit the same "lets just pipe bomb our way into a socialist paradise" stage that the previous versions of Antifa did. That'll be less than fun to live through.

Not only that, it interferes with and weakens America's position in ongoing negotiations; which is the exact thing Rubio was complaining about earlier this week.
It would be as if during a war, when both countries have footholds in each other, while negotiations are going on the court just says pull out unilaterally of all your advances, without even considering the enemy advances. Even pacifists who want to end the war in Ukraine would think the courts are crazy if suddenly Putin was told by his to pull out of Ukraine, while there were still Ukrainian footholds in Kursk, without any treaty, or Zelenskyy was told the same to pull out of Kursk without any agreement.

I love that so many people are openly talking about (and recommending) just fucking ignoring these idiot judges and carrying on anyway. It's entered the mainstream consciousness and I don't think these judges quite understand how dangerous that is. This is "jury nullification" on steroids, and judges already hate nullification. They should be scared shitless that the public at large is losing its willingness to respect and obey the courts.

All it takes for a district court to become utterly toothless is for its city/county police/sheriff departments to stop enforcing its orders. If these judges keep pissing everyone off like that, they're going to discover how far their gavels go when there's no guns backing them up.
Judges should get to meet their natural predator, gravity.

This already happened during the first Trump term during COVID. Andrew Cuomo led a group of states who agreed to co-enforce COVID rules in a Northeastern Coalition and have lockstep policies, sometimes superseding Federal guidance--NJ, NJ, CT and at times PA. California, Oregon, and Washington made a similar compact, and I think Whitmer had something going on with neighboring states too.

It kind of died down when it was made pretty clear early on that they wouldn't be able to close State borders due to Federal interstate commerce and free travel protections, and as they found it harder to enforce rules when people started to chafe against the restrictions. But we were pretty close to a Balkanization of the US for about 2 seconds back then.

The only thing that might slow Hoschul and Newsom doing it again is their desire to run for President of the whole country, and trying to create fiefdoms locally could turn off voters nationally. Plus in her case she is a wellspring of negative charisma and lacks the forcefulness that allowed Cuomo to bully his neighboring Governors into following his grandstanding lead.

Because if I took a time maching back to the 1990s and told them about the PATRIOT act, TSA, FISA courts, and the forever wars, they would have laughed themselves to death. The political atmosphere did not exist for something like that to happen democratically.
I have always given infinitely more creed to the idea that powers that be knew of the possibility of 9-11 but did nothing to prevent it because it would dramatically change the landscape of society in a way that benefited government agency. As the years pass, less and less people in places like this were even alive back then, let alone of an age where they were politically aware and seem to have no concept of just how large of a tectonic shift that was. Pre 9-11, if you asked your average blue collar, F-150 driving, country western listening, bud light drinking on a friday night average joe how they felt about government invading your mail, phone and other sensitive data, you'd get an angry yelling rant.

But after?

That average American was horny as fuck for big daddy government to inject itself into our lives to "Stop the next 9-11". You had retards like Toby Keith and Alan Jackson, along with a dozen other mainstream acts, in everyone's ear every 15 minutes reminding people to be mad, scared and violent about it while wrapping themselves in the same iconography that the government was using to sell you it's end to privacy. You were either a Patriot who was for America and wanted to make things right, or you were with the terrorists and deserved the rope. (kinda sounds familiar, now that I think about it)

To this day, I feel like the word "Patriot" has a completely different meaning to me and I can't take people seriously when they use it unironically after what being a "Patriot" enabled back then.

Musk is mad his solar subsidies are going away:

Meanwhile, when Elon actually needs reliable power and not taxpayer dollars:

Grid reliability is threatened by SOLAR because it's useless at night/on cloudy days, which means that you need an equally-sized fossil fuel/nuclear/hydro plant to back it up, which raises prices.

I like how the headline fails to specify it's a bunch of foreign markets that are spiking because they think Daddy Judge is going to give them literally everything they want with no limits.

When you determine rally and crash by which side you like...eh...Some outlets labeled a .10% decline as plunging.

I find that hard to believe given that 90% of Windows 11 is probably just Windows 10.

If you mean "Actually Indians" yeah it probably was. There is some dumb shit in it like the Start button being a React app.

God if the SteamOS goes to PC AND can do shit like Word/Excel Windows might loose a decent market share.

Nigga I'm telling you to work at McDonald's which is what is getting passed into law. You don't work, you don't eat. That is life and always fucking has been. If you don't work you starve. Law of the Jungle my neezy.
It used to be required that if you received benefits (this included SSI, SSDI and welfare) you were also enrolled in Ticket to Work. You were required to show proof that you had attempted to find employment and were denied to keep benefits. They had to resources to get you entry level jobs and if they said here we have a job for you and you said no goodbye benefits as well.

They walked free because TPTB felt they may still be useful.
I look at the groups sowing chaos and disorder at oddly specific times around the USA and I think they are, in fact, proving to have been useful. To someone anyway.

Well now it's more than trying. You either work 20 hours a week or no benefits at all, barring a few exceptions from what it seems.
