There's definitely more to this than we're seeing.
The bad news is 100% a separate thing that is far worse than the county trying to block the bodycam footage is good for him

If the news of the bodycam was good enough then he'd be gloating but he's seething

Either he knows the blocking won't do shit and the bodycam is coming out no matter what or the bad news was so catastrophically bad that it ruined what would be a W for him

Maybe both

So why did Rekieta seem so agitated when he ended the stream earlier?
The county seems keen to block the bodycams which seems like good news for him unless I'm misunderstanding something.
maybe rekieta is going states witness on his drug supplier. maybe the drug supplier is a big time drug lord in minneapolis. if i were the da, that is the only thing i would want in order to suppress the body cam footage. snitch rekieta.

its that or, like everyone said, it was a request from the sheriff's office.

Legal Dicksucker has been summoned (and has clearly at least received it, since he untagged himself from the tweet). I wonder if I should be making popcorn.

two theories:
1) it's unrelated. the chance of two things being unrelated---one worth golating about, like the favorable move by the prosecutor, one worth dreading, like pissing hot or divorce or PO troubles or whatever people are theorizing---happening at the same time are i think pretty low.
2) the motion is only a partial win for rekieta. he asked for a mile from the prosecutor and only got an inch. whatever the prosecutor says in that motion is ALL he has on his side to fight against its release (or sue after the fact). so he could be pissed because he asked for an ironclad solution but the prosecutor's amendment is only a half measure that might not work.
Decent analysis, but got to disagree that the odds of him accidentally pissing hot is "pretty low". That's the kind of thing that could literally wildcard its way in on any given day for old Rickety Rackets.

Nick's cope stream tomorrow must be recorded. Please.
"Null's voice cracks" - :really:

It really is so joever, Kiwibros. There is absolutely no chance of recovery from this completely original insult. The court will have no choice but to refuse the release of the bodycam footage because of nool's squeaky voice now :bossman:

Do we know the timeline of the legal back and forth with the sheriff blocking it and then being told to release it? Because the way I've taken the events it seems Nick got the news the judge was forcing them to move forward releasing it. So his agitation is him realising his win is a ticking clock.

you can untag yourself from other people's tweets? first time i'm seeing this.
man. can't even begin to speculate on wtf is happening here.

I really can't imagine that there would be evidence of malfeasance on the bodycam footage.
Rekieta and his lawyer would presumably have reviewed the footage pre-omnibus. If there was clear evidence of wrongdoing or procedural failures from the police, they would have hammered on this ages ago. As it is, most of Rekietas protests have amounted to little more than impotent whining.
Perhaps there could be evidence of unprofessional conduct from officers in the videos that the police would prefer not to be disclosed (ie, making comments on the mess, making disparaging comments about drug addicts, etc.) but if there was anything that was seriously wrong with the police conduct in the videos, we would have heard about it long ago.

It would seem more likely that the hesitancy to release the footage is a personal decision.

Some options to consider:
- Doing a favor for Rekieta (or someone else with an interest to protect Rekieta).
- Personal conviction to not want to embarrass someone further (unlikely since almost all police action risks embarrassing someone, however considering this is a smaller community with multiple children involved maybe not so unlikely).
- Abundance of caution (if the sheriff is known to be a cautious person they may prefer to defer a decision like this until there are no possible question marks over the order).

My hope is for the abundance of caution option, since that will likely result in a positive outcome for release of the footage after resolution of the matter.

yes, but the chances of him pissing hot AND getting a major win re: bodycam on the same day? simple probability suggests otherwise.

i still say he didn't get all of what he wanted re: prosecutors motion and is terrified that what they did won't be good enough to prevent its release.

Edit:

i mean, to nominally say, "hey, we tried, you're welcome to sue us after the release if you think we violated your constitutional rights", is essentially a middle finger to nick. suing after the fact will not get the footage un-released.

Now, the prosecutor is jumping in to help. Seems like the county conspiracy does exist, but not to hurt that poor little crackhead
They’re not protecting Nick, they’re protecting themselves. This video is damning not to a neglectful alcoholic who didn’t give a fuck until he got caught, but to the sheriffs and DHS of Kandiyohi, who let this retard make an ass of their little town in the middle of fucking nowhere. The last thing they want is YouTube channels like EWU to broadcast this colossally embarrassing fuck up to the world.
