I’m a medical scientist so believe I am not a big fan of his, but I would have been very pro-MAHA if it was trying to do anything about the hyper palatable ultra processed slop that makes up way too much of the US diet. But I guess targeting vaccines and fluoridated water is more important. What do I know.

Anyway back to lol-ing @ fatties….look at how huge Jaimie looks compared to normal sized people. It never fails to shock me.

Apparently there were a bunch of other plus sized “influencers” there too….i find it deeply funny that a soda sponsored a fatty prom. I know it’s “zero sugar” but I would bet the farm that Jaimie doesn’t drink zero sugar anything bc “diet culture” or some shit.

No, I'm on the same train of thought as you. Much as I detest the current state of... everything government related (neither time nor place to get into), I begrudgingly give MAHA some credit for getting the ball rolling on taking down processed fast food and dyes (if you want a normie explanation of it with a little ADHD, Oompaville has a decent video about why food dyes are bad). There's a lot I disagree with RFK on, but he does make a good point that we need to priortize healthy eating and exercise over pushing pills and/or enabling fatpo slobs to peddle a lifestyle that will kill people a hell of a lot faster than a GLP-1 shot ever will.

Joint issues aside, all that excess fat wreaks havoc on your hormones. It's no wonder they're losing their goddamn minds 24/7, and it has nothing to do with people calling them fat. (Also, if you're gonna try to 'reclaim' the word fat by plastering it all over your profile, you can't go around complaining about people calling you a fat bitch. Food regulation got too lax in this country allowing food companies to add whatever they wanted and it's okay because it's "generally considered to be safe".

Other countries have much stricter controls on what they can sell as "food".

That’s a bit insane. I also think that it’s weird how therapy and psychology seem to now all agree with intuitive eating and HAES. Doesn’t work for most and seems to mostly lead into eating a ton of hyper palatable food. Not freedom, not intuition and probably self-defeating because healthy food is more salubrious for mental health. You’d almost think that not recommending healthier eating creates more therapy customers for longer, so…

Pretty sure it was posted a few pages back, but there was this blogpost by a fat IG traveler who went to a few South and East Asian countries, like Japan, Thailand, India, etc. and she recounted that the people there were BRUTAL towards her because of her weight. If these people think the "fatphobia" in the US and even the UK is bad, they haven't experienced true hostility in that department.

Bekah is an interesting thread feature because I think a lot of us felt bad for her at first- she was a formerly very thin and much happier girl who very abruptly fell into HAES and started gaining at an alarming pace, she's got VERY gnarly stretch marks that show how fast she gained. A lot of people speculated she had been assulted and is deliberately uglifying herself as a result, and she's pretty much confirmed that herself.

That makes this last comment of her's so much more odious to me, like girl- you literally are a victim of scummy and predatory men, why simp for them?!
