Many posts recently are suddenly changing color in the middle of the text.


I asked this user about it, apparently this isn't an issue with her being in light mode and selecting a dark color. The color change doesn't show up for her, her theme is in dark mode, and she hasn't selected anything to cause the color change.

I've seen this issue three times this week alone so I have no idea what's going on.

This page is starting to irk me. I know the site isn't having problems and that the user profile is "available" since I watched them post in real time. It's just that they privated their info but I want the link to their profile to reflect that, not an error; even if the page has only the same info as the hover tab.

I am also disappointed that this change has broken old banned profiles. I had something newly interesting I wanted to post on a banned users profile, for fun and sentiment, only to be met with the infernal OOPS! I suppose it makes me sad that I don't have the option to peruse the history of a defunct profile that amused me in the past.

Anytime I do it, I just attach the file like you would any media, then insert it and it automatically gives it the thin media bar. Works with .mp3 at least.

I completely missed the option to do that with audio files even though I've been inserting thumbnails like papa Moon instructed since my recent registration. Thanks!

.m4a wouldn't attach.

I ran into this last week after downloading an AAC audio stream into an .m4a container. Once I realized the site doesn't allow you to upload that file type, I remuxed the audio into an .aac container. That will upload but you can't insert it into the post.

I then tried remuxing it into an .mp4 container. That will upload and allow you to insert it, but it uses the video player instead of the audio player. There doesn't seem to be any way to have audio-only AAC files use the audio player. I ended up having to re-encode it to an mp3.

Ran into a new bug on PC desktop using Brave browser when serially editing a post and I had more than 6 pieces of media attached.

The arrows to cycle through the thumbnails to reach any of the thumbnails after the first 6 on the right aren't there, making the rest inaccessible.

I was able to edit the same post from Brave Android to make the necessary changes where the thumbnail arrows did appear. I could access the hidden icons by using my finger to swipe on the touchscreen.

I went back to the PC Brave browser and the arrows still weren't accessible after making the needed Android edits.

Tried clearing my cache, restarting the browser. Arrows still missing.

Edit: For posterity, I hit the "more than 7 media thumbnails" threshold later in the day and the scrolling arrows to reach the hidden icons returned without any more intervention on my part.

Is there anything I can do to make HEVC clips work on the forum? I use Firefox 138 on Windows 10.

Example post - the two videos at the bottom don't load. They load without problems in Chromium 127. Someone addressed this issue in this post, but didn't provide a solution. Just to be clear: I'm not talking about reencoding from HEVC to AVC when I want to post a video. I know how to do that.

I have it. It's called "HEVC Video Extensions" and it's easily piratable. I had to install it to make HEVC work in Da Vinci Resolve.
