His work is a delight because the guy actually understands the art of photography, video editing, sound mixing, and narration. He also knows one of the fundamental principles of nature content, that the creator is not as important as the work itself. This means that the dude doesn't put himself front and center with a camera to his face explaining what he is doing. I'm not saying that it is a cardinal sin to have a camera on your face as you interject, but that it often doesn't add anything of substance to the video, and takes away from what is a way for the viewer to experience nature. In his latest video the only parts of his body you see are in the shots where he is making nests and whatnot, where it is helpful to see the steps of what he is doing.

Ian has never done that in his Save the Squirrels schtick. He interjects his ugly mug and makes himself front and center instead of the stuff he is filming.
