I think there will be a Sheriff election for the county in 2026. From looking at the public disclosure filings from the 2022 election (which I posted earlier in the thread), the campaign donations are relatively small—maybe $15,000 total, at most, for the current Sheriff, Eric Tollefson. His opponents had vastly smaller donation amounts. I don't think it's very smart to antagonize a website that has raised thousands just for the bodycam when that website can be wielded effectively to support your opponents in a small town election, but that's just me.
Well, if @Null doesn’t mind backing winners and invest some of that body cam bounty money (Or if the Farms don’t mind passing the hat around and fund my campaign!) I shall gladly run for Sheriff in Kandiyohi county.
My platform is simple and straightforward for the good, hardworking citizens of the county.
1: Safe streets from sex pests and nitrous abusers.
2: Zero Rekieta tolerance policy.
3: Permanent speed camera set up near the balldo bunker.
4: Transparency: All body cam footage available on torrents. Public viewings of the Rekieta arrest footage to educate the public.
5: No trannies or illegal immigrants. Cocaine and nitrous abusers get a public flogging.
6: Formation of a new advisory board for public safety consisting of the Sheriff and a local mother of five, which will meet on a weekly basis. The advisory board will meet at candle lit dinners and for night time walks on the beach to discuss matters of local and personal importance and how to better serve the community.
