It's been proven that they lied to the American People to manipulate them to vote for Biden and keep Trump out of the white house which is not only illegal in itself, it also opens up a load of other questions about what the Democrats almost certainly covered up or had carried out with the same exact motivations.
Yeah I expected someone to point out that if most Republicans are "Republican in name only" then that's what Republicans really are. I'd argue the term "RINO" has evolved beyond the acronym to mean that they say one thing to appeal to voters with full intent to align with Democrats on many issues. Illegal immigration as an example, is beneficial to the dems (potential votes, expansion of social programs) but also to the reps (wage depression, larger consumer market). The reps aren't crypto progressives except when it serves corporate interests (covid and big pharma, for example). The ultimate goal for both is to preserve status quo political power while personally enriching themselves. Ideology is performative only - it's a tool, a means to an end.
I think it's more complicated than that as the party is coordinated from the top and the politicians typically toe the party line. But people can just as well elect someone like Trump or Rand Paul who are hardly "Republican."
