I'd never thought about this point properly before (mostly because it was an extremely weird thing of him to say), but it now makes me wonder what there was for his parents to open up about? If they had a relatively normal sex life, surely there'd be nothing for them to share with him since most people expect their parents to be having sex, or wouldn't find it revelatory if they were told. I don't want to read too much into it, but I think it lends credence to them being swingers. Not that anyone who's seen Celeste's crazy eyes has thought otherwise... (:_(
I've always interrupted it as Nick wanting them to not be private about having sex and do it openly/around him so he could "learn" or so sex "wouldn't have a stigma" to him. At least, that would be his cope/answer when pressed on it. The fact we know he is a cuck now gives away what the real meaning is, he wanted to watch because it sexually excited him.

I'd also be remiss not also point the implications this would have towards his feelings and relationship with his mother. Ya know, the one who clearly favors him as the golden child, gives him her prescriptions, bails him out of trouble...

It's especially "funny " that Nick was trying to pin the nanny (not April) on stealing booze or giving his kids booze. Nigga, she probably cleaned up and threw out some of the half-empties laying on the fucking floor all over the house.

For sure the kids have tried booze, because they leave it EVERYWHERE. Countertops, floor, bathroom, balldo bunker, it's everywhere.

The cocaine powder is bad, but the booze too? Not great for kids to have such easy access. And all they had to do to get it, was pick a bottle off the floor or the counter.
Edit: spelling

Reminds me of a time when I was 13 or 14, and my brother showed me a bottle of Jim beam in the fridge and told me not to touch it.

When he went out later that night, I snuck shots every 5 minutes until I was blacked out. I almost died that night.

How his kids aren't alcoholics like him is surprising.

You make too much of it. Nick just wanted a little insight from his mom & dad on how to mentally and emotionally ruin a woman so you don't have to grow into a competent man, same as the rest of us.

The current Nick angle is to call everyone a psychopath, say they are obsessed.
Nick should be thankful we’re just mildly interested and not actually obsessed.

Because if we were, there’d be a caravan of cars heading to Spicer in order to spit on Nick or give him a knuckle sandwich.
Good point, I should have been more clear on that. I think the house declined when Nick discovered DRUGS. You are right, some of the cleanest homes I've ever seen were owned by coke heads and their dealers. You can't sleep... why not clean?
I want to push that a little.

Yeah, you go to SOME coke or amphetamine addicts house, and it’s spotless and he/she’s cleaning the counters one more time because he can still feel that sweet dopamine hit and it feels better when you’re DOING something.

Other come addicts just sit in their own filth and take line after line and pipe hit after pipe hit.

Simultaneously you can find heroin junkies who’ve never stolen anything their entire life, or weed smokers who make a living out of shop lifting.

Drugs don’t fundamentally change who you are.

If you’ve always been an asshole, you’re going to be a bigger asshole.

Nick was always a piece of shit at heart.

2. The bodycam footage can now be deleted without further consideration as the 90 days for preservation of unused bodycam has long since passed.
No. For the umpteenth time:

What happens to the exhibits that I upload into MNDES and do not use?

Exhibits that you upload and do not offer to the court as evidence remain in MNDES until the retention period for all exhibits in the case is reached. You can request an exhibit in pre-hearing status be deleted any time before it is offered to the court during a hearing. To do so, submit a deletion request from the portal. Court staff review deletion requests. Requests that are approved will process within 24 hours. If your request is denied, you will receive an email with a reason for the denial.

Also note that this guidance distinguishes between uploading exhibits and offering evidence.

I don't really follow this drama, but if you're wondering why she "got off scot-free" it's because she didn't talk to the cops. Never talk to the cops without your attorney present. There is absolutely nothing you're going to say that will help your defense. Exercise your right to remain silent and then confer with your representation. Especially if you know you're guilty. This is just an object lesson.
There are always factors when it comes to both parents getting arrested. US states loath putting kids into the foster care system because of how much that costs the state. They typically will try to not slam both parents unless they are both so heavily involved in the illegal activity. And like you said, Nick the lawyer, did every fucking thing wrong possible as a suspect. He may have well just done a line of blow in front of the cops and then offered to let them bump a line.

I honestly think that if Nick had said nothing, he was still cooked, just because of how stupid and careless he had gotten. But yeah, the cops pretty much were gifted an open and shut case.
If he was a dealer I imagine they would have found a lot more in his house, he probably did play dealer to his little friend circle though, we all know about his power point presentations about why 'doing drugs is totally okay guys seriously' and I wouldn't be surprised if he had this "i got the hook up guys" attitude
Exactly. For some reason, people tend to think there is a clean divide between users and dealers. That is never the case. You got to go pretty high up the food chain to find a distributor who isn't an addict.

And even a crack whore on the corner knows a connection and will facilitate an exchange for a finder's fee.
I think Nick might realize (some) of his mistakes in moments of lucidity, he's just too proud to admit it.
Getting sober means he has to deal with a confront what he did to himself, his wife, and his kids, without the benefit of being in a drug fueled haze.

Yeah...he ain't doing that.
As someone who grew up with a father who loved to do drugs around his kids I can tell you with certainty "we kept it away from the kids", even if that is true and he wasn't having her do 8-balls to cure her ADHD, probably manifested as 'lightly cover it up by maybe going to the bathroom or another room then forgetting to put it away because blasted out of my fucking gourd.'
Im pretty sure I accidentally ingested crack cocaine at least a half a dozen times as a kid. You don't even have to worry about it being out in the open. My folks would hide it in really dumb places.

Fuck, Nick is depressing. These kids are fucked.

I know this is empty moralfagging, I know this is a Captain Obvious statement, I don't care. I really, sincerely, strongly feel those kids need to be separated from him ASAP. He needs to go to prison. I say this as someone that suffered from an alcoholic parent for my entire childhood from birth to the age of 18. His mentality and behaviors heavily match my experience of the alcoholic parent I dealt with. My childhood was ruined, by someone very similar to him in his behavior. I know what this does to kids. He needs to go to prison. No matter what happens, those kids are going to be permanently marked by this, but the damage would be a lot less if he was removed from them.

Strange reply. Nick Rekieta and people of his moral inclination are not welcome in my home. As for your view of Texans we can disagree. The place has been changing, and the people I'm familiar with would ostracize a character like Nick, but then that's true of good people anywhere.
"Old" Texas has more than its share of cucks and "the lifestyle".

They need to be separated from him ASAP and the best route to that is still Nick killing himself. These kids should not have to spend one more day held as physical or emotional hostages by this evil degenerate.

I agree with you, of course, but the fact that we're all myopically focused on Nick tends to ignore that millions of children are living in even more deplorable conditions. Often its the foster system itself that places them in those conditions where they end up just being a paycheck for some piece of shit. Just consider the fact that literally any crackhead or psychopath can procreate and then you can see where the problem originates and how widespread it is.

That said, there is no reason, NONE AT ALL, that those kids can't be placed in the care of extended family. It sounds like Kayla's family at least has concern for their welfare enough to report what their parents were doing. Given that Nick&Kayla clearly have no intention of changing for the better, time for the family to step in, even if it means seperating the kids.

The interest is only because he denies everything. We saw the search report. We know it was a crack den. If he just came out and said it got bad, nobody would give a fuck. Instead he maintains it was just cluttered with laundry.

I fucking died at the casino reading
"the officer opens a ziplock, a single picture of food found in it"
"... rather than eat does he look at it for subsistence?"
does anyone have the clip

that reminds me, when nick inevitable dies of whippits then whats mr oh so tough bigshot sheriff going to do about his precious county and precious donators then especially as they might turn and blame the government for not being strict enough? whats nicks parents going to do when his soon kills himself and its basically their fault? short sighted people man.
I doubt his parents give a shit, they're just trying to save their own reputations by this point.
