There's been a lot of debate here regarding the ethics of two different ways we've been reacting to this young person's suicide. Each with valid moral arguments.

1) The death and the mockery of it is justified, it's a symptom of a cultural fatigue regarding the trans community. People are scared about this distrustive ideology effecting the young and vulnerable in society via a perverse social contagion. The trolling of bridge is "art" expressing this.

2) This child was a minor, most likely socially isolated and certainly neurodivergent, who was taken advantage of, being groomed by online predators. The young person was most certainly a victim in many ways and is deeply missed by his family and moding community who mourns for their loved one.

As a Christian allow me to add some more nuance and hopefully reconcile the differences through the lens of Christianity.

This too. Troons 'ACK-ing themselves is good and all, but, like, dude, don't do it on a high volume road because then you are blocking it off untill the police finish investigating it. The same goes for subway/train suicides. The only thing i care about when you jump on the tracks, isn't the fact that you jumped on the tracks, but the fact that the entire fucking station is closed for several hours, if not for the rest of the day and then some.

agreed. its like smoking in a way. both targeted towards kids to get them addicted for life and both result in ruining their health forever. shaming the ones that do it and push it on others is the only way to stop the cycle. also might even result in more actual research being done on legit gender dysphoria which could end up saving kids in the future.

much like how the stigma towards smoking helped fuel more research and support systems for people who wanted to quit. sure vaping exists in its place but its not nearly as powerful as smoking was in its prime.
