Metalheads always feel they have this kind of knowledge normies don't and gain a superiority complex from it a lot, like Danny genuinely thinking his opinions on issues matter is an aspect of that superiority complex. Then he ran cover for the "Christian" Melanie Mac while fully supporting a president passing tariffs like a king, on a whim.

I've seen this happen quite often in the punk/hardcore/metal scene. Lots of sketchy older guys that hit on younger girls, promising them booze or drugs in order to prey on them.
