Dark Souls fans get like 4 mostly forgettable fights
They chose mostly bad ones. That being said, Gaping Dragon keeping his tail cut and Smelter Demon switching between fire and magic as a nod to his two appearances in Dark Souls 2 was neat. Makes me question why tail cuts weren't retained considering it's not too difficult to hit the tails of a lot of the ancient dragons.

I like that one random event in Niggerreign is getting an enemy that steals your levels, and the only way you can get them back is killing a boss somewhere, but the boss may spawn in the brap zone. 10/10 game design.

Brap zone feels like it doesn't even belong. You barely have enough time with 2 nights, should be 3. Even with a team of souls veterans in comms, the final boss is an HP sponge shifest.

Is Niggerreign even worth the price?
From what I've seen no, maybe as a $10 novelty but $50 is highway robbery. Guys on Steam are saying that by game #3 they're already getting identical gear drops, level layouts, and enemy boss spawns so the amount of content is razor thin.

I'd say the only way it would be worth it is you were absolutely fanatical about both Elden Ring and Fortnite and have three friends plus a Discord server for communication since there's no in game chat or ping system.

That last point is critical since even the positive Steam reviews say lobbying with random is an absolutely miserable experience.

Its nice to know that at least he hasn't forgotten they exist, especially considering sekiro is the only fromsoft game to not receive an expansion pack.

Just me sitting here waiting on Armored Core 6 to get its expansion. AC1 had Project Phantasma, 2 had Another Age, 3 had Silent Line AND Last Raven, 4 had For Answer, and 5 had Verdict Day. I'm surprised a new iteration of AC6 hasn't dropped yet, considering the game was well-received and would benefit from new content and weapons, in both regular gameplay and PvP. Even though I didn't care for the stagger system and some of the bosses were more Dark Souls than Armored Core, I still liked the game overall.

Tried about 6 hours and on my third night lord. The game is fun, but I'm saying that as someone coming at it from a "I miss Gauntlet Dark legacy and want something similiar" so alot of the complaints dont quite apply to me. My first good run involved raider (me), a guardian, and a wylder just picking up the biggest hammers we could find and unga bungaing everything in arms reach. Strength builds keep on winning.

That said the absolute worst part of the game is realizing how bad the average soulsborne player is. Doesnt help every mlgwannabe and their mother is instalocking the parry character and just eating shit the whole time. If one of your teammates has a weeb username, just disconnect. It aint worth it.

What do you think the numbered title pun will be this time? My bet is "Armored Core: Six Pistols"

I honestly couldn't even fathom a guess right now, but if I were naming it, it would be Six Sentinels. I'm sure there's a reason there's six ACs shown during the true ending, which was pretty open-ended for a continuation.

The reason why I am still stuck in the first fucking boss.

Picking up and using the wrong weapons for the character making it harder for them.
Doesn't matter which characters they pick they never fucking utilize them to what they are capable of, the number of randos that don't even bother with their ULT is fucking astounding.
Dicking around with puny mobs rather than going directly to the mini bosses and helpign out.
No proper communication with pins or misappropriating it's use.
Thinking they can handle the roided greater bosses just because they got cocky with the mini bosses.

I haven't played it, but I've watched people stream it, and it's what I expected. Shitty cash grab. If it was 20 dollars, I wouldn't say that. The DLC cost 40 dollars. This is just multiplayer with reused assests. The Fortnite drop in to the zone was the biggest joke IMO.

I remember last year there was a leak of games this famous voice actor was supposed to be in and a new armored core in 2025 was one of them.

Fromsoft probably stopped doing tail cuts, because if you didnt do it and killed boss normally you didnt get another chance until NG+ to try again.
Which is kinda problem if that was only way to obtain stuff like moonlight greatsword.

There's still a bunch of stuff you can miss and have to go to NG+ for anyways. Even just an extra max upgrade stone from tail cuts on the random Farum Azula dragon's would've been nice.

This looks exactly like when games in the mid 2000s needed unnecessary multiplayer modes tacked onto, in order to please the shareholders. Just an afterthought grafted together with already existing assets.

Now you have to pay extra for it, apparently.

I have zero interest in it, even though I played and (mostly) loved all other fromsoft titles so far.

Man I'm so glad that every game past 2 didn't have those pesky bonfire ascetic. Imagine wanting to make only a certain part of the game NG+ rather than going through the whole game again just to get the one item you missed.

Sounds like you just need to wait for the youtubers to make videos about meta builds and then the experience will change to everyone doing the exact same choices every time even if the randomisationdoesn't support the build they work on.

Lmao wait till you get to the boss that sticks you with a parasite that saps your health until your teammates smack it off. Its a giant red glowing target and people just ignore it.

And I can't tell you how many times Ive seen the first person to go down on the nightlord still has 3 revive pips. That means they not only didn't level up, they somehow walked AROUND the grace site next to the boss door. Absolutely wild. You can't save some folks.
